While I wasn’t very excited about this particular Wednesday, mostly because I had a doctor’s appointment in the afternoon and I hate those more than anything, the day ended up being quite beautiful. We even found some time to shoot these quick photos before leaving, and we “celebrated” afterwords with delicious cake and coffee. Yes, I always need some sort of celebration to hold onto! Plus, my fiancee surprised me with a little bit of a shopping trip to Zara and I found some beauties that I cannot wait to wear.
Tired of the cold? Definitely. Tired of snow? Not so much apparently. Today was a “throw a warm sweater, a pair of jeans and your boots on” kind-of-a-day, because we went for a long walk in the snow, topped by a hot glass of coffee after. I must admit that total leisure doesn’t come easy for me, since I’m constantly worrying, stressing and thinking about little nothings that in my head usually turn into bigger issues. But this is something I’m working on changing and days like today help a great deal for reminding me to always enjoy the little things and make the most out of every moment.
My break from everything during the Holidays turned out to become a little longer than I initially planned, hence the absence from the blog, but all I can say is that I really needed some time for me and especially some rest. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, filled with magic moments and spent alongside your happy families. I ate a lot, especially sweets and cookies, I watched movies and a lot of episodes of my favorite TV series, I played with Puss and enjoyed some walks, so it was just perfect.
As I look down the window and I see all that white outside, I finally feel like Christmas is coming. Yesterday we had our first snow and it was magical, although it didn’t last all that much. Must love December ! It’s freezing cold, but it’s beyond beautiful. As usual, my days were filled with work hours as it’s quite a busy time of the year but I do try to make the best out of the little free time I am left with.
Yes, I finally got to wear my beloved burgundy leather skirt the other evening and today I get to show you how I styled it. The pictures were taken in a bit of a rush, due to the fact that by the time we walked out the door it was already getting pretty dark outside. Quite frustrating if you ask me! Or, maybe I should move my blogging activities to sometime early in the morning. I would like to see that one happen.
I will try to be super quick today as a lot of work is awaiting and I’m still having breakfast. I don’t know how that happened, actually I do, but I like to pretend I don’t. Wasting time is my specialty. Anyway, I’ll leave you with a couple of pictures we shoot yesterday at one of my favorite spots. Why my favorite? Because it looks good in the photos and because it’s completely deserted, meaning no judgmental eyes starring and no people passing by ^.^ I also wanted to thank you for all of your lovely comments ♥ I’m sorry I haven’t found the time to reply to each and every one of them like I usually do, but things are a bit hectic right now. Until next time, take care and have a lovely day!
Happy Sunday everyone ! I hope you’re all having an amazing weekend, with a beautiful and warm sun just like the one shining over here. I’m currently updating my to-do-list for today and tomorrow, guess I love making all kinds of lists and cross things over once I’m done. It’s going to be kind of a busy day, but I’ll have time to relax a bit also. Maybe I’ll even catch up on a movie later. I’m thinking “Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World” + popcorn + apple pie for a super-cozy night in. Meanwhile, I’m going to let you with some pictures we took yesterday evening during a lovely walk across town. See you soon! ♥
