I know it’s Wednesday and we’re half way through the week, but in order for this post to make total sense I have to rewind time to Sunday night. You know that moment when you lay your head on your pillow, kind of sad to be leaving the weekend behind, your mind already racing with all the things you have to do in the morning. And I don’t even hate Mondays, it’s just that sometimes I don’t feel quite ready to start afresh.
EN: I must have said it here on the blog before and I stand by what I said: January is not my favorite month. But this year I was kind of eagerly waiting for January to come, anxious for that fresh start, ready to work harder and put all of my energy to good use. I believe it has something to do with this spring-ish weather which I would want nothing more but to hold onto, just until summer arrives. It’s these same warm temperatures to have also shaped my first outfit of the year: bright, light and simple. With the Holidays officially over, it’s time to get back to work, but there’s still time to read a few more pages of “Eleanor & Park“. Much love & happy January ♥
For me, the month of October was mostly a race against the clock, as I found myself caught in between work hours, house duties and endless errands to run. That’s why the majority of my outfit posts feature cozy looks, ones that favor comfort and that are just perfect for those chilly autumn days when you’re busy running around town. This navy sweater dress became one of my go-to pieces for the season, as I instantly fell in love with its light weight and fluffy texture. And despite being busy, autumn has been extremely good to me so far and in exchange I find it to be more beautiful than ever before. Hope the month of October is treating you well ♥
My break from everything during the Holidays turned out to become a little longer than I initially planned, hence the absence from the blog, but all I can say is that I really needed some time for me and especially some rest. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, filled with magic moments and spent alongside your happy families. I ate a lot, especially sweets and cookies, I watched movies and a lot of episodes of my favorite TV series, I played with Puss and enjoyed some walks, so it was just perfect.
After a magical Friday spent in the company of one of my best friends ♥, my Saturday morning started off with a delicious fruity breakfast, followed by a quick play-time round with Puss, who’s getting more and more adorable each day. It was exactly what I needed in order to be able to concentrate on work during the following hours. And in a short break between articles, I wanted to share with you some of the pictures we took on Thursday. It was a windy and cold day, but we had fun shooting, and I guess it shows.
Yes, I finally got to wear my beloved burgundy leather skirt the other evening and today I get to show you how I styled it. The pictures were taken in a bit of a rush, due to the fact that by the time we walked out the door it was already getting pretty dark outside. Quite frustrating if you ask me! Or, maybe I should move my blogging activities to sometime early in the morning. I would like to see that one happen.
I love fall. I love the chilly weather, I love the rain, I love the warm colors, the crisp air and even if I hate feeling cold most of the times, I bear with the feeling because in the end it is worth it. This morning really felt like fall, but the illusion disappeared in just moments. I held onto that sensation though, and I embraced the preppy style for a day that celebrates the beginning of a new school year in our country. I didn’t feel quite well today so I’m sorry if the pictures are not all about the happiness and joy that I felt on the inside ^_^
Have an amazing week my darlings and I’ll see you in a couple of days, much love ♥
