Sarah Jessica Parker – Louis Vuitton – Marc Jacobs Exhibition

I find it quite impossible not to like, or sense, the kind of impeccable fashion Sarah Jessica Parker promotes.

Whilst attending the Louis Vuitton – Marc Jacobs Exhibition, Sarah Jessica stepped back in time, where everyone else is an a hurry to wear tomorrow’s designs, and pull out a beautiful 10 year old gown, from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2002 collection. 10 years makes it vintage, right ?

The floor-length white summery dress, had a delicate floral print spreading across the skirt and a bow tied above the waist. White Rochas boots (sadly not pictured above, but I found a small picture with them, see below) and Fred Leighton jewels, accessorized the feminine look.

In the beauty department, the actress sported her signature loose messy curls, a soft rosy lipstick and smokey eyes.

Look Of The Week (007) Winner

All-time favorite fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker, is the newest winner of our LOTW poll. It was about time !

I guess her daring Biker Princess look, channeling Carrie’s fashion sense, really caught your attention this week.

New York Fashion Week – Prabal Gurung Fall 2012

When you start paying closer attention to fashion, until it becomes part of your daily routine, therefore part of your life, it is impossible not to feel its influence, at so many levels, even deep down, where everything you thought you knew, begins changing forms and colors. From admiring a handful of designers, you get to a point where you understand, there’s so much more out there, so many names, with so many great stories behind, so much yet to be discovered, and always a certain something, or someone that helps remove the curtain.

When I think about how amazing Prabal Gurung is now, two names instantly pop into my head : Sarah Jessica Parker and Zoe Saldana, both brand ambassadors by choice, both loving his bold and fresh aesthetics, both leading people towards a new obsession. For his Fall 2012 presentation, that took place during New York Fashion Week, Prabal Gurung revealed a display of deluxe form-fitting silhouettes.

What I loved most about this collection: the body hugging silhouettes, of both sporty and glamorous looks; the dark and mysterious opening, that slowly evolved into a more light and delicate runway walk; the playfulness and softness of the dresses; the fitting pants; the return of the psychedelic prints from the Spring 2012 collection; the color palette of black, white, gold and electric blue.

Searching for the trends, I spotted cutouts, futuristic prints, ruffles and feathers, structured coats and capes, black leather gloves, all for a fashionable cold season.

My favorite looks of the collection, ranged form the sporty, yet stylish electric blue sweater, mixed with the black fitted pants and styled with black leather gloves (first look above), to the mid-length cut-out cocktail dress, in shades of white and gold, with metallic accents, seen bellow:

Straight hair, dramatic make-up in shades of blues, greens and purples (I loved the styling), triple-strap sandals, police hats, belts and sunglasses, were the accessories that emphasized the dramatic and atmospheric runway show.

Look Of The Week – Week 007

This same week, I was considering putting a hold on these polls, but maybe it’s a good thing I changed my mind. I tend to do that a lot sometimes. It appears that some of the ladies reading the blog, enjoy voting just as much as I do, so let’s keep these polls coming.

This week was such a busy and eventful time, that I hope I covered pretty much everything I loved on the Red Carpet. With plenty to choose from, voting is a little bit harder this time, as I would have liked to vote for …well, three looks :). How about you ? Enjoy & vote.

Sarah Jessica Parker – amfAR New York Gala

Following the path of the pink Oscar de la Renta gown this Friday, we move forward to actress Sarah Jessica Parker, as she attended the amfAR New York Gala To Kick Off Fall 2012 Fashion Week, on February 8, wearing an Oscar de la Renta Pre-fall 2012 dress. I Pink it’s cute.

I don’t know how you feel about this ensemble, but I adore the daring idea of mixing a full-length soft and feminine gown, with a leather jacket. It works even for this type of elegant Red Carpet event. Sarah Jessica paired the pink Oscar De La Renta Pre-Fall 2012 pleated gown, with a Theyskens’ Theory Jotor leather biker jacket.

Manolo Blahnik heels and a VBH handbag, plus a pair of white gloves, completed the rock Princess look vibe. Here’s how the gown looked without the jacket :

A charming Carole Tanenbaum Vintage necklace, Fenton bracelets and Fred Leighton earrings perfectly accessorized the dress. Is this what they call a Pink Friday ?

Sarah Jessica Parker – NYC In Valentino

At the begging of this week, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted in NYC, heading for a TV Show in order to promote her latest movie entitled New Years Eve. The outfit that Sarah chose to wear on that occasion may serve as a point of inspiration for a bright and elegant winter look.

She opted for a summery Valentino dress that she wore under a rose-toned structured wool tailored Valentino coat. As for the shoes, she chose a pair of Jimmy Choo Forbes Pumps from the label’s Fall 2011 collection.

The bright and unexpected part of the entire ensemble is the totally inspired choice to wear the popping aqua American Apparel tights with this neutral toned look.

Would you see yourself wearing such an original outfit ?

Sarah Jessica Parker – 60’s Feminine Style in Louis Vuitton

Sarah Jessica Parker attended last night’s 8th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball, held at Cipriani 42nd Street, in New York. Just by looking at the outfit, you could have easily guest it is Sarah the one who’s wearing it. I’m loving this about her unique sense of style.

The essence of the entire Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 collection is captured in this silhouette Sarah chose to wear: peekaboo cutouts, tweeds and ostrich feathers, pastel hues, 60’s inspired style. What I also love about this shimmery bodice + skirt is the fact that it somehow manages to mix a hint of winter, with a little bit of spring. Paired with white pumps and a bouffant half-up, half-down hairstyle, the look was perfectly completed.

Dreamy or not ?
