By taking a closer look at some of my favorite Resort 2012 collections, I found myself inspired enough to add some key pieces to my dream wardrobe, and if I will be lucky enough, I will find pretty substitutes for all these designer pieces.
For me, this Spring is all about color – neons, pastels, bright hues, you name it – sheer materials, maxi dresses + skirts, leather (but of course), floral prints … and the rest will follow :
To be continued …
What about you, what you’re eager to wear this Spring ?
On New Year’s Eve, Rihanna was spotted leaving her hotel in Miami, Florida where she was enjoying a well deserved vacation for the Holidays. She caught my eyes with her urban look, rocking a pair of Alexander Wang colour-block shorts with athletic undertones, from the Resort 2012 collection.
She completed the sporty feel of the look with a white sleeveless shirt but opted to wear the matching Alexander Wang Chloe colour-block sandals, as she was definitely not going for a run.
Beauty wise, Rihanna chose a red lip color , red nails and a casual up-do perfectly suited for a sunny vacation.
Kristen Bell had a couple of busy days on the Red Carpet this week and she of course looked beyond beautiful with every occasion. On December 9, she attended the 2011 UNICEF Ball looking like a Grecian Goddess in a Christian Dior Resort 2012 gown.
Having quite a lot to choose from, Kristen opted for this floor-length, ivory, one shoulder gown bringing along a summer breeze, right at the beginning of winter.
She kept the Goddess feel of the dress by accessorizing with a pair of Katerina Maxine tassel earrings and a Judith Leiber silver clutch.
A bright lip color and an elegant bobby pinned updo with face framing tendrils completed the look.
Do you like the Grecian Goddess look on Kristen Bell ? I loved it.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows finally premiered on December 6, in Westwood, and it was the perfect occasion for the beautiful Rachel McAdams to shine on the Red Carpet.
The talented actress wore a sexy silver gown from the Marchesa Resort 2012 collection and her silhouette looked amazing in it.
The sequined long-sleeved dress, with an open back, that reminds me a little bit of the ’60 glamor was softly accessorized with Jacqueline Nerguizian jewelery.
An elegant knotted updo and Christian Louboutin ankle boots made for the Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear Collection by Marchesa finished the look.
What do you think about this look ?
I do have a soft spot for Jennifer Lopez for quite a few years now, but that doesn’t mean I always agree with her fashion choices and I quite frankly hate it when she makes it on the worst dressed lists. Lately though I’ve been more than happy watching her glow and just be beautifully inspired.
Today I came across some images of Jennifer recording for her new show “Q’Viva! The Chosen” in Peru, and she looked amazing wearing A.L.C. Resort 2012.
It’s not an average “everyday” look, but it’s still inspiring as the A.L.C leather dress focuses on simplicity being flirty but tough none the less. I love that mustard color and the mix with the golden accessories, but I couldn’t ever “walk in her shoes” , what I could do is stay still . Another pair of shoes and your own accessories and this would make a great dress for a holiday party this season.
The original dress imagined by Andrea Lieberman for the Resort Spring 2012 Collection is black and pretty cool too.
What’s your favorite and where would you wear a dress like this ?
