Going through last night’s pictures one more time this morning, might have changed my perspective on some of the gowns that caught my eye at first glance, whilst other dresses grew on me slowly but surely.
Carey Mulligan paid an homage to Prada, by wearing her design during the big night that set Carey co-chair for the 2012 Met Gala, alongside designer Miuccia Prada and US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. The gold and silver toned fish-scale halterneck dress embellished with paillettes was paired with Prada satin pumps. A chic up do, smokey eyes and nude lips styled Carey”s dazzling appearance.
Nina Dobrev secured herself a well deserved spot on the best dressed of the night list, when she decided to step out in this sumptuous Donna Karan Atelier one shoulder silver and black custom gown, that featured a long dreamy train and a chic open back with draping details. The beautiful actress accessorized her heavy gown with Jimmy Choo heels and H. Stern jewelry. A classic up do and flawless make up made for a memorable appearance.
Rihanna went for another black moment on the Red Carpet, when she chose this bold, tight, crocodile skin applique gown wearing the signature of designer Tom Ford. Riri styled the long sleeved dress with simple black pumps, minimal jewelry and ultra long black nails. Her signature make up and a funky hair do added up to the sultry look.
If the other week, I got the chance to see a first look from the recently presented J.Mendel Fall 2012 collection, courtesy of Rooney Mara, this week, Nina Dobrev rocked a second look from the collection, for the 20th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party.
She looked delightful, as she attended the party alongside co-star and boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder. They make for a … hot couple.
Her black cut out gown, featuring a V-neck, geometrically structured bodice and a full length pleated skirt, looked darling and romantic on the young actress, despite the dark color.
A silver sparkly Jimmy Choo clutch, Brian Atwood heels and Chopard White Gold Diamond Flower earrings, complemented the flawless look.
A single textured fishtail braid and smokey eyes, seemed like the perfect fit for the flowy dress.
This week, cover girl Nina Dobrev, joined the Nylon & got2b Party Celebrating the February Issue, in New York City, looking all sparkly and sweet, in a Jenny Packham mini dress.
The nude sequined mini number, with a V neckline and three-quarter sleeves, was paired with the gorgeous black suede ALDO Echard Platform booties.
Our favorite raising star, sported a simple high ponytail, neutral smoky eyes and a bright coral lip color.
This is what I call a comfortable, but sexy look, perfect for us young girls, celebrating at any sort of party, in style.
Nylon magazine captured Nina Dobrev‘s both, inner and outer beauty, in the latest issue, for February 2012. Channeling a vintage Vegas cowgirl vibe, the beautiful actress wears a McQ jacket, an Emporio Armani shirt, some adorable Siwy shorts, plus a Erica Weiner necklace, for the cover shoot. And look at that hair, how amazing is it ?
Talking about her passion for movies, Nina reveals she wants to experience it all, from sweetheart, to drug addict roles. And you know what else she’s talking about in the interview ? The love for her pet CATS, no, I didn’t plan this, but as it rarely happens, all falls into place today I quote :” I’m gonna say [I am a] ‘cat woman,’ because ‘cat lady’ makes me sound 500 years old… But I love my furry friends. … I’m pretty sure I was a cat in a past life.” And I’m pretty sure all cat lovers think alike.
For more on being famous, her former Degrassi co-star, Drake, and beautiful pictures, don’t forget to pick up the February issue of Nylon. For more on Nina, don’t miss The Vampire Diaries weekly episodes and check back to Oteea Land, as I have a feeling she’s going to be sticking around. Have a beautiful evening/day, girls !
We had a little bit more time to vote this week, as the poll closed only on Friday, but I guess we had a clear winner, right from the start. I’m not surprised Nina Dobrev was your favorite this week, as she looked absolutely beautiful in the Monique Lhuillier Spring 2011 dress.
The next poll begins on Sunday afternoon, until then, congratulations to Miss Nina Dobrev and thank you for voting.
It’s that time of the week again, because on Sunday we vote for our favorite look of the week. I would appreciate it if you would take the time and cast your vote. I’m curious as to whom impressed you this week, XO.
Week 003 – January 9 – January 15, 2012
Poll closed. Thanks again for voting. XO
On January 10, Nina Dobrev attended the Forevermark & InStyle Celebrate Beauty & Brilliance with Honoree Michelle Williams event. At this celebration, Nina’s appearance felt just like a breath of fresh air, as she looked radiant wearing another Monique Lhuillier dress.
The idyllic, dreamlike mid-length dress incorporating muted pink florals, light colors and airy draping was teamed with the neon pink Rebecca Minkoff Fling and a pair of nude Christian Louboutin Spring 2012 Peep-Toe Sandals.
Nina decided to drop the satin belt thingy that we can see on the runway version of the dress and that was a great decision. This look screams romantic and I happen to love it very much.
