Needless to point out that the beautiful weather we experienced over the week-end lured us out of the house in no time, as the sun and the clear skies begged for a little escapade. We chose to visit an abandoned church that is located somewhere outside the city and the day couldn’t have turned out better. I fell in love with the ruins, with the beautiful landscape, with the history. Without mentioning the fact that walking in shorts, without the weight of a jacket on my shoulders and with no heels felt like a total blessing.
I guess it was also high time to switch the focus back on orange, one of my all-time favorite colors that made its way into my closet yet again! Hope you enjoy the pictures, thank you so much for all of your lovely comments, they mean the world and here’s to a great start of the week! Happy Monday! ♥
Even if I go to sleep quite late almost every night, I have trouble falling asleep right away so I usually have to think about all the things pretty in the world to help speed the process. If I happen to know that the next day I’ll take some pictures for an outfit post, I love to use that time to think about what I could wear, that’s if nothing is planned already. And this is what I came up with last night. Ta-da !! I made use of my green maxi skirt that I’ve worn only a couple of times this summer and I added a lot of black. To prevent myself from looking like an evil queen, I sweetened the outfit up with my favorite headband and my floral sneakers.
Since I’ll be away most of the weekend, I thought a scheduled post would be a great way to make my absence feel almost … unnoticeable here on the blog.
I remember telling you, that Thursday did not start as a perfect day for me, but it eventually turned out to be a beautiful, beautiful day. A couple of hours spent walking, followed by a spontaneous escape in the middle of nowhere nature, ending with cake + late evening coffees, is all a girl like me could have asked for. Luckily enough, I have found the person that seems to always know what I need, even before I do! ♥
Taking photos while breathing the fresh air, picking out flowers and being surrounded by mountains, was a definite change of scenery.
Have an amazing weekend ! ♥

Today, is just one of those days … still undecided if it’s going to be good or bad. One of those days, when a bit is too much, and too much is not enough. Feels like a fresh new start.
What makes you smile today? Me – the clear blue sky, the thought of a good movie tonight, the flowers I bought yesterday, the coffee awaiting in the kitchen, a good, happy song played loud and these …

My days are filled with little things like this.
Take care sweeties,
It’s true. Everybody (including me) seems to be loving the fact that Katy left both the blue and the pink hair days behind, focusing on a slightly more natural color : blonde with a bit of twist hiding in the lavender highlights.
The chic short bob she debuted on Saturday at the David Lynch Foundation’s Change Begins Within benefit celebration in Los Angeles, seems to be the long awaited change of style I was hoping for. The brunette era was my favorite but look at how beautiful she looks now.
Katy was wearing a Versace Spring 2012 dress, Barbara Bui golden pumps and a Stella & Dot bracelet.
