The Night of the 1000 Dresses aka The 2012 Met Gala was filled with breathtaking moments, as the A-list Hollywood celebrities took on the Red Carpet looking flawless whilst embracing high fashion, true art and the unbeatable New York spirit.
Tangerine was also a hit color on the celebrity filled Red Carpet last night (May 7).
Ginnifer Goodwin looked ultra feminine in her custom Monique Lhuillier tangerine silk chiffon cap sleeve creation, featuring a central slit and a beautiful beaded detailing on the upper bodice. Brian Atwood pumps which I’m not crazy about, H. Stern jewelry and a Tiffany & Co. clutch styled the appearance. Ginnifer opted to sport her sleek signature pixie cut and gorgeous make up.
Katharine McPhee sparkled amongst the important guests of the 2012 Met Gala as she was wearing a tangerine Georgette fully embroidered gown with a deep square neckline created by Elie Saab. An orange belt to accent the waist line, gold jewelry and a bronze Christian Louboutin Pliage clutch accessorized the bright look. Complementary make up and a chic up do finished off the look.
Kristen Bell stepped on the Red Carpet in a lovely floor length Tommy Hilfiger orange crinkle silk chiffon gown, that featured a crisscross halter neckline and waist ruching. Jimmy Choo heels, vintage Van Cleef and Arpels jewels, and a Judith Leiber clutch in gold, complemented the perfect appearance. Shiny locks and minimal make-up provided the finishing touches.
Is it just me, or Kristen Bell keeps getting more and more adorable ? The beautiful actress attended the 20th Anniversary Alzheimer’s Association ‘A Night at Sardi’s’ Fundraiser on March 21, and for this occasion she opted to wear a Reem Acra mini dress.
The iridescent blue strapless mini dress, with clean, simple lines was perfectly teamed with this amazing pair of Christian Louboutin Mexibeads platform pumps.
Minimal jewelry – who needs more when you rock those shoes ? – straight locks and a nude lipstick, complemented the chic appearance.
I’m talking about one of my newest fashion crushes here, as I somehow managed to neglect this category over the past two months. I know that this statement piece gained her first fans quite a few years back, but for me – the subtle jewelry loving type – the transition was a little bit slower.
I started by liking this trend as worn by celebrities on the Red Carpet, when suddenly the statement necklace became a key piece for any respectable fashionista, as the street fashion took a new spin. And as it is easier to admire trends on others, rather than actually giving them a try, another while past between me acknowledging the trend, and me actually feeling comfortable wearing it.
Below you can find a short selection of beautiful necklaces that I would love to wear during Spring or Summer this year, and also my favorite ways of centering an outfit around the jewelry piece.
1. Piperlime – Beaded Statement Necklace in Aqua Green – $24
2. stella & dot – Birds Of Paradise Necklace – $ 133.50 (on sale)
3. Threadsence – Tahitian Goddess Necklace – $22
4. ASOS – Silk Cord and Looped Statement Collar – $32.23
5. stella & dot – Cortez Bib Necklace – $49 (on sale)
Although styling an outfit with a chunky necklace should be fairly simple, considering the infinite options we are given, paying extra attention to details won’t hurt. The right necklace should fall right into place either you are trying to achieve a super casual look, or an extra sophisticated one.
My favorite ways of wearing this jewelry piece :

Reeeeeed Carpet Fashion is back for the 2012 round and I’m very excited to share with you, my first favorite appearance of the new year, made by the lovely miss Bell. On January 4, Kristen attended the premiere of her new TV series, House Of Lies, in Los Angeles. The Showtime production is set to air its first episode on Sunday, January 8 and I cannot wait for that to happen.
For this event, Kristen opted for a Zuhair Murad Fall 2011 smokey silver, hand-beaded mini dress with long sleeves, sleeves that made a lot of people think “ice-skater”, however I think it is still a pretty beautiful dress in all of its details.
A pair of Christian Louboutin Boulima d’Orsay sandals and long loose waves completed the fresh look.
Prior to her 2011 UNICEF Ball attendance, Kristen Bell was one shiny guest at the BVLGARI Celebrates the Holidays event that took place in L.A. on December 7. On this occasion the talented actress wore a Jenni Kayne Fall 2011 mustard and gold look.
The ensemble Kristen chose to wear combined a mustard cardigan set with a sequined gold mini skirt, for an overall monochromatic look that matched Kristen to perfection.
She accessorized the look with a pair of dark red pumps and the over-sized black Bulgari Leather Pochette.
Kristen finished the look with flawless make up and a loose bun.
The perfect Holiday Season outfit, don’t you think ?
Kristen Bell had a couple of busy days on the Red Carpet this week and she of course looked beyond beautiful with every occasion. On December 9, she attended the 2011 UNICEF Ball looking like a Grecian Goddess in a Christian Dior Resort 2012 gown.
Having quite a lot to choose from, Kristen opted for this floor-length, ivory, one shoulder gown bringing along a summer breeze, right at the beginning of winter.
She kept the Goddess feel of the dress by accessorizing with a pair of Katerina Maxine tassel earrings and a Judith Leiber silver clutch.
A bright lip color and an elegant bobby pinned updo with face framing tendrils completed the look.
Do you like the Grecian Goddess look on Kristen Bell ? I loved it.
