2012 Met Gala – Round Up Part II

The Night of the 1000 Dresses aka The 2012 Met Gala was filled with breathtaking moments, as the A-list Hollywood celebrities took on the Red Carpet looking flawless whilst embracing high fashion, true art and the unbeatable New York spirit.

2012-Met-Gala---02Tangerine was also a hit color on the celebrity filled Red Carpet last night (May 7).

Ginnifer Goodwin looked ultra feminine in her custom Monique Lhuillier tangerine silk chiffon cap sleeve creation, featuring a central slit and a beautiful beaded detailing on the upper bodice. Brian Atwood pumps which I’m not crazy about, H. Stern jewelry and a Tiffany & Co. clutch styled the appearance. Ginnifer opted to sport her sleek signature pixie cut and gorgeous make up.

Katharine McPhee sparkled amongst the important guests of the 2012 Met Gala as she was wearing a tangerine Georgette fully embroidered gown with a deep square neckline created by Elie Saab. An orange belt to accent the waist line, gold jewelry and a bronze Christian Louboutin Pliage clutch accessorized the bright look. Complementary make up and a chic up do finished off the look.

Kristen Bell stepped on the Red Carpet in a lovely floor length Tommy Hilfiger orange crinkle silk chiffon gown, that featured a crisscross halter neckline and waist ruching. Jimmy Choo heels, vintage Van Cleef and Arpels jewels, and a Judith Leiber clutch in gold, complemented the perfect appearance. Shiny locks and minimal make-up provided the finishing touches.

Sophia Bush – Global Green USA Pre-Oscar Party

As she attended the Global Green USA’s 9th Annual Pre-Oscar Party, Sophia Bush was a vision of elegance, stepping on the Green Carpet, full on glamour, in a Dilek Hanif Couture Spring 2011 gown.

The beautiful floor-length silver beaded gown, channeling the 1920s, was styled with an exquisite Amrapali Square Bracelet with colored diamonds and Amrapali earrings.

Rene Caovilla heels and a Judith Leiber clutch, complemented the luxurious look.

Sophia Bush Look

Beauty wise, Sophia opted for another touch of elegance, with smooth flowing waves, rosy cheeks and a natural toned make-up. Loving it.

Diane Kruger – 62nd Berlin International Film Festival

In terms of fashion, you never know what to expect from Diane Kruger, as she is far from ever choosing safe or boring looks. On the contrary, even without a stylist, she manages to enjoy fashion, in a way that is always fresh, daring and provocative.

During the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival, Diane attended both a photocall and the premiere of Farewell, My Queen (Les Adieux De La Reine), her latest movie, in which she stars as Marie Antoinette, during the final days of the French Revolution.

As she joined her co-stars, french actresses Léa Seydoux and Virginie Ledoyen at the Berlin Photocall, Diane opted for a 10 Crosby Derek Lam Spring 2012 look.

The springy green flower print dress, worn under a black and white stripped mid-length skirt, was definitely fashion forward and quite unusual. I find that this dress under the skirt trend is slowly taking over Spring fashion, as more stars are giving it a try (remember Blake Lively in Valentino ?).

Pushing it even further, Diane teamed the Derek Lam design, with a pair of yellow Giuseppe Zanotti Spring 2012 embellished sandals. Soft curls and natural make-up finished the look.

For the Red Carpet movie premiere, Diane Kruger opted for a more glamorous approach, choosing a showstopping gown, part of the Giambattista Valli Spring 2012 Couture collection, presented back in January, during Paris Haute Couture.

The full-length polka dot sequin gown, embellished by a huge bow, had a metallic belt accentuating the waistline. A Judith Leiber Wildcat crystal-embellished clutch, a sleek classic bun and cuffed Repossi ear ornaments, completed the opulent appearance.

With so much detailing going on, someone could have easily gotten lost, but not Diane. She was purely majestic.

Kristen Bell – Grecian Goddess In Christian Dior

Kristen Bell had a couple of busy days on the Red Carpet this week and she of course looked beyond beautiful with every occasion. On December 9, she attended the 2011 UNICEF Ball looking like a Grecian Goddess in a Christian Dior Resort 2012 gown.

Having quite a lot to choose from, Kristen opted for this floor-length, ivory, one shoulder gown bringing along a summer breeze, right at the beginning of winter.

She kept the Goddess feel of the dress by accessorizing with a pair of  Katerina Maxine tassel earrings and a Judith Leiber silver clutch.

A bright lip color and an elegant bobby pinned updo with face framing tendrils completed the look.

Do you like the Grecian Goddess look on Kristen Bell ? I loved it.
