Actress Camilla Belle made a return to the Red Carpet as she joined Emily Blunt for The Five Year Engagement Premiere, held in New York City, on April 18, during the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival.
The young actress opted for a chic look, donning a Jason Wu Fall 2012 dress.
The precious black and metallic gold Asian-inspired sleeveless dress, featuring a body hugging silhouette and a keyhole detail, was paired with black Sergio Rossi Cachet Leather Peep-Toe pumps.
A gold Jason Wu Chinese embroidered box clutch, also from the Fall 2012 collection and gold David Yurman jewelry accessorized the sexy look.
Camilla completed her appearance with a bouffant up do and a soft coral lip color.
In my extra long list filled with all the people I love or admire, there was an empty spot at one point, right under Current Favorite Model, because for a long time I have gone having with none, none of the new generation anyhow.
This fact could mean absolutely nothing, but I find it to be a little bit weird considering the amount of time I spend going through fashion collections, magazine editorials, campaigns, runway shows etc …
The inevitable happened, right when British and current Burberry Prorsum spokes-model, Cara Delevingne, caught my attention with her natural self, her adorable quirkiness and her understated beauty of course … So this season, besides getting excited to see the new trends and collections for Fall 2012, I was also excited to keep track on all the designer Cara walked for, and luckily they were many …
For the New York Fashion Week Fall 2012, Cara graced the runway for Jason Wu, Rag & Bone, Thakoon, Donna Karan, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera and Tory Burch, in what seemed to be an impressive amount of shows.
Below you can find all of Cara’s New York runway looks as I particularly found her drop dead gorgeous in Jason Wu. The next round up will focus on Cara’s appearances, during her London and Milan presentations. Do you also have a favorite look of hers ?
After a charmingly soft and feminine collection presented for Spring 2012, designer Jason Wu found his fall inspiration way back East, by embracing his roots, and by finding a new way of reflecting the Chinese history, into his aesthetics.
What I loved most about this Fall 2012 collection : the entire feel I got from the models walking the runway, with that “Who run the world ? Girls !” sort of vibe; the fresh take on the green army uniforms; all the beautiful gold-beaded embroidery; the always perfect tailoring; the way that the glamorous and delicate accents, played against the hardness of the conservative silhouettes. You must love those magic moments, when clothes really tell a story.
You can easily spot a few trends by taking a closer look at the Fall 2012 collections, in this case, we spot floral prints for fall, fur accents, tailored military jackets, and the first two stars of the future season : the coatdress and the relaxed pair of leather pants.
My favorite looks of the Jason Wu collection, were the black tailored jacket with a fur collar, worn over a black shirt and paired with floral print pants (second look above) and the dramatic evening gown with high-slit, worn under the glamorous military inspired jacket, with gold-beaded embroidery. I don’t know why is it, but I’m easily drawn to this sort of hard/soft looks.
Sleek high ponytails and accessories like round glasses, black and gold studded sandals, studded gloves, leather clutches and wide belts, together with tassel earrings, styled this delightful Jason Wu collection. I wonder, who’s going to try it first. Happy Sunday everybody !
