You cannot talk about a good sense of fashion in TV Series, without mentioning Gossip Girl. It is maybe the first name that pops in our head whenever we think about the best style, fashion, designers and high-end clothes in a show .
And when most of the people I know are fascinated by Leighton Meester’s impersonation of Blake, with her entire wardrobe of course, I tend to be more of a Serena kind of girl when it comes to fashion choices in the Upper East Side.
Throughout seasons 1 and 2, Serena’s Style went from being “Kate Moss” inspired to mixing vintage with fashion forward pieces, always managing to look effortlessly fabulous whether she was wearing bohemian or edgy clothes. I almost forgot she used to wear jeans :
In seasons 3 and 4, Serena’s character evolved as well as her style. She approached a more chic, feminine and glamorous look, becoming great at mixing fabrics and accessories :
Getting to the fifth and currently airing season, we see a more mature and focused Serena even in the outfits that she picks. And no matter the changes, she kept little glimpses of her love for the boho-chic and unexpected mixtures.
Season 5 – Look No. 01 – Haute Hippie Feather Sequin Vest ; Brian Atwood Power Studs Suede Platform Pumps ; Mulberry Resort 2012 Harriet Ostrich Tote Bag ; Rodarte for OpeningCeremony Reverse Pleated Skirt.
Season 5 – Look No. 02 – Rag & Bone Aubry Top ; Matthew Williamson Antique Beaded Vest ; Rag & Bone Feather Skirt.
Gossip Girl here . . . oh no, it’s not, but it is Blake Lively looking extremely happy, whilst filming for Gossip Girl, on December 1. And her happiness is not the reason she’s here. I of course, love the biker chick look she is so gracefully wearing. A day Blake is not carrying on a dress/skirt/short something and more casual look deserves to be remembered.
Blake is wearing a Mike & Chris Leather Jacket and a Gryphon Sequin Stripe Sweater. Lovely, don’t you think ?:
Also spotted at last night’s “Gossip Girl 100 Episodes” event-celebration in New York City was Blake’s long-time on screen companion, Leighton Meester. The actress opted for simplicity on the Red Carpet, showing off a Balmain Spring 2012 modified dress .
The creamy strapless dress was paired with the glittery Jimmy Choo Lauren sandals. And even if the dress didn’t have that “Wow Factor”, Miss Leighton looked beautiful with a smokey eye makeup perfectly matching her amazing glowing skin .
“Gossip Girl” reached 100 episodes and that required a big celebration of course. Blake Lively joined the fashionable cast at the Cipriani Wall Street, in New York City, wearing again something that is different yet not very youthful.
For yesterday’s Red Carpet, Blake chose this unique Marchesa (<3) sheer dress with silver detailing and white tassels. Gold High Heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry completed her look.
I think she stole the show last night, with people either hating or loving this look, but definitely buzzing about it.
