Spring has finally arrived in the Upper East Side and the beautiful Blake Lively celebrated its arrival on the Gossip Girl set, looking chic in a two tone piece signed Reed Krakoff.
The Spring 2012 belted coat, mixing mustard yellow and black, looked wonderful and fresh on the young fashionista, especially when paired with the Dior Miss Dior bubblegum pink snakeskin leather pumps and accessorized with the Emily Cho Oversized Folded Clutch in baby blue.
Soft golden curls and a flawless make up, complemented the colorful outfit.
I’m so in love with this look, that’s so polished, but so fun at the same time! I guess the magic of the colors worked once again.
Here comes the Princess, or should we call her a soon to be ex-Princess ? Even if Blair’s royal journey was far from perfect, the understated elegance that comes with the title, put a definite imprint on her style this season.
Spotted on the Gossip Girl Set yesterday, the lovely Leighton Meester looked polished, yet flirty in her colorful outfit, filming scenes for the next episodes.
Giving life to a character that never shy away from color, nor print, Leighton took on a feminine look once again, by wearing this bright colored floral dress, a modified Peter Som Spring 2012 number.
A previously worn pair of Miu Miu‘s glossy patent leather Mary Jane Platform Loafer pumps and a Stella McCartney Chalk Grace Faux Nappa And Fluo Cross Body bag, complemented both the dress, and the classic silhouette of the yellow coat.
The entire look was styled with a three strand pearl necklace, a soft up do and impeccable make up.
Thanks to the Gossip Girl On Set pictures, we got the chance to see the lovely Blake Lively at work, and considering the fact that over the past month she enjoyed an off the radar phase, this is pretty nice.
Spotted in New York City, on the last day of February, the beautiful actress was facing the cold days of winter, keeping it warm and stylish at the same time.
To style the black pair of skinny jeans, Blake wore a double breasted Kaelen Ombre wool coat, featuring a notched collar, a 2-button closure and lightly padded shoulders.
A pair of Ecco Hobart Buckle 25 MM boots and a Yves Saint Laurent ChYc Cabas tote in blue, from the Fall 2011 collection, complemented the smart city look.
The finishing touches were given by a printed scarf and black leather gloves. Life on set must be great !
Kaelen Ombre wool coat – $487.50
Ecco Hobart Buckle 25 MM boots – $219.95
Yves Saint Laurent ChYc Cabas tote – $248.00
On February 14, Leighton Meester attended The Woman Dress Screening, directed by Giada Colagrande, in New York City, which is the third part of the Miu Miu’s The Women’s Tale, a series of short films, exploring the feminine love affair with Miu Miu.
For the special occasion, the Gossip Girl actress opted for a modified version, of a Prada Spring 2012 look.
Comparing it with the original design, Leighton’s modified version of the dress, showcased a rather minimal print, placed on both sides of the dress, a deeper V-line and a fresh lemony color for the pleated skirt. The darling retro look, was accessorized by a pair of pointy nude pumps, a gold David Yurman Confetti 5-Row bracelet and a red Prada Mini Half-Flap Crossbody bag.
Red hot lips, plus a chic up-do complemented the look. I liked it a lot.
That same evening, Miu Miu launched their new Culte Sunglasses Collection, glasses with pentagonal-shaped frames,a brushed gold finish and dark brown lenses. Leighton took the opportunity to try some on, Vogue style, revealing her also amazingly beautiful David Yurman Albion ring.
For all of you Gossip Girl fans out there, it’s not a surprise that Leighton Meester‘s character in the successful series, is currently living the dream of a lifetime. Blair Waldorf might not be your regular piece of pie, but after only five season, she’s putting the P into Princess, with a tiara, a pink gown and everything else you would imagine a Princess is wearing.
A trendy Princess that is.
Spotted on the Gossip Girl Set this Monday, filming New York scenes with her co-star Penn Badgley, Leighton was wearing a delightful fairytale inspired look, part of the Oscar de la Renta Resort 2012 collection.
In order to defeat the chilly NYC weather, the blossom Shibori Silk Organza Strip Embroidered gown, was teamed with a worm and furry white blazer. A tiara, a diamond necklace and a pearl broche accessorized the dreamy look.
Where would Princess Blair be heading ?
It’s January, New York looks cold, but Serena Van Der Woodsen knows how to look fabulous even during the winter days. Wearing a wonderful Fay Trench Coat from the Fall 2011 collection and a Mulberry Spring 2012 Handbag, this girl seems ready to take over the world.
I love the mixing of warm colors with the grey tights and the dark blue heels (yes heels, not boots, how great). Also,I think that the pair of black leather gloves completed the elegance of this graceful day outfit.
Take a closer look at this amazing items and get inspired for this cold winter, there’s still waiting to be done until the flowers will bloom again.
It’s such a quiet time of the year in these last days of December, that I am truly starting to miss all the fuzz and the buzz that make the fashion world such an exciting place. Don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate that I finally have the time to catch up on those movies I really wanted to see, watch five episodes of Gossip Girl and then some more, or read my favorite blogs and books (not necessarily in that order) without being time stressed.
Oh well, the Pre-Fall collections of 2012 will have to make up for the all those missing events and dazzling celebrity fashion I miss so much. And having the time to check out the latest collections, gave me a strong taste of how my dream wardrobe would look like in a perfect world, where money would never be a problem, and clothes would never be enough. Of course, in this world, the perfectly organized clothes would have to share a white room with just the perfect amount of shoes, some nice bags, one or two kitties (`cause what’s a dream without a cat hiding in the dressing room ? ) and…I’m still figuring out the rest.
Meanwhile, I would love to add these Missoni Pre-Fall 2012 pieces (only the five pictured below, I know my limits even for a dream world) to my wardrobe and just hope they will get along with the rest. Loving the youthful looks, the slim silhouettes and the macro-floral-print dresses. Let the dreaming begin :
Of course, don’t forget to check for the beautiful looks that didn’t make it to my wardrobe, on Oteea Land’s Facebook Page. XO
