It has been a while since I have seen someone looking so glamorous and so close to perfection on the Red Carpet. Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha attended two important events in the last couple of days, and she looked smouldering, raising the bars on both occasions.
On April 10, Coco joined the fashion crowd as she stepped on the Red Carpet for the 9th Annual Spring Dinner Dance New Year’s In April: A Fool’s Fete, held at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in New York, to benefit youth in foster care.
The model made quite a dramatic entrance in a Zac Posen Spring 2012 gown.
The ice-blue fairy-like tulle edelweiss embroidered gown, featuring a mermaid sillouethe and butterfly wings, was delicately accessorized with minimal jewelry, a sheer layer of metallic gold eye shadow and a soft up do. Divine.
On April 11, the supermodel attended the A Bid to Save the Earth Green Auction at New York City’s Rockefeller Center, for a star-studded night of entertainment, fashion and an over-the-top live auction.
For the event she sparkled in a black Fendi Fall 2011 dress.
The mid-length black dress, featuring a pencil skirt and a sheer embellished halter neck shirt with puffy sleeves, was teamed with black ankle strap platforms.
A high bun, a daring orange lip color and a black winged eye liner complemented the dark & glamorous a la Coco look.
With both the ultra-feminine and bright floral looks covered, what better way to end my short list of 2012 Film Independent Spirit Awards fashion favorites, than by going opposite direction?
As she attended the Santa Monica, California ceremony, Michelle Williams opted to follow the slightly more masculine and conservative trends, and centered her appearance around a Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2012 look.
If I don’t usually find myself loving Michelle’s choices, mostly due to her black and white predictable fashion sense, not that there’s anything wrong with it, sometimes, like this time, her quirky style gets to me. The black and navy shorts suit, paired with a simple white shirt, may resemble a boyish uniform all buttoned up, but I find it to be rather sweet and built on a retro vibe.
Michelle’s favorites Fendi Grosgrain Bow-Front pumps, in black, plus the Trau for Forevermark Stackable Diamond rings, accessorized the lovely look.
But my favorite accessory, would have to be the Olympia Le-Tan the Catcher in the Rye embroidered book clutch. Smart choice, huh ? The nerdy me definitely loves everything book related.
Now, I’m hoping Michelle will go bold on color for the big night at the Academy Awards and hopefully, tomorrow, I’ll get to write about that. Fingers crossed for a beautiful Red Carpet.
On January 5, Michelle Williams paid a visit to the Tonight Show studios for a chat with Jay Leno about her latest movie, My Week with Marilyn, the Golden Globe nomination and her latest vacation in Mexico. For this occasion, the beautiful actress wore a Jason Wu Spring 2012 RTW Peplum Dress, and it looked both sweet and chic.
The playful sleeveless peplum dress was paired with the black version of the Fendi Grosgrain Bow-Front Pumps. Michelle made a simplicity statement for this appearance, wearing no jewelry and letting the splattered Swarovski Elements on the dress do all the sparkle.
An orange nail color and the super cute blonde pixie cut finished the look.
I’m just sad I couldn’t find any pictures with Michelle standing as I’m sure the dress would have looked even better, not that I’m complaining. Having the Jason Wu Spring 2012 collection amongst my favorites, I can only hope I’ll get to see more of it this year.
Now that I get to post about Taylor Swift’s Sidewalk Style, I suddenly realize I have pretty much loved most of the outfits she wears on a daily bases. I think they are so feminine, cute and she wears them with such easiness that she is really becoming inspiring.
Taylor wore a Ralph Lauren Sweater, a Modcloth Skirt and a Fendi Purse. I got a little bit creative and with this outfit it mind I pictured my version of this look with less expensive Asos items :
Do you find Taylor’s looks inspiring also ?
