I have been wanting to shoot an all black outfit for the blog for quite a while now, but somehow, with all the gorgeous weather going on and all the blossoming flowers beautifying the city, it just didn’t seem appropriate. Instead, I chose to switch the focus on light colors and easy silhouettes, as they seem to intensify my happiness these days. Nothing like these long afternoon walks accompanied by gorgeous candy colors, messy buns and comfy sneakers. Hope you’re all having a great week so far, lots of love ♥ ♥ ♥
Summer. Sunshine. Old houses.Birds chirping. .
Last Sunday was all about regaining a much needed state of tranquility. Although I do consider myself a city girl and I am in love with its effervescence, I tend to appreciate the rare moments when I’m not surrounded by impatient people, cars honking and ambulance sirens going on and on in their endless call. Maybe that’s why I love the comfort of my home, why I sometimes feel the need to hide in my own bubble, I am not a loner but I do seek moments just for myself. And as I grow up, the thought of a small house with a small garden, where I can grow my favourite flowers, read and play with my furball, appears comforting and alluring. Like a distant dream just waiting to happen. Much love, xx.
One of my absolute favourite things about fashion is the fact that it allows us to translate how we feel through our clothes, giving us the ability to embrace a different part of ourselves every day. And playing dress up is what I love most. From all-black, to flower prints the transition felt easy!
Now, about the dress. When Kristine first asked me about a collaboration, I must admit I fell in love with her designs from Kristine’s Collection because they are both feminine and so, so dainty. Picking up my garments wasn’t an easy task, but I didn’t regret my choices once the package arrived. The Camelia garden bloom flare dress spoke to me through her mesmerizing print and I already imagined myself picking up flowers and getting lost in the summer atmosphere wearing it. I wasn’t wrong. Yesterday I felt like my lighter self, I felt energized and I felt happy. All because of the fresh flower print.
As I sit here writing the new blog post and I glance outside the window, I can’t help but smile. It’s about to rain and I love rain. Especially when I have no place to be, but home. I love the smell of rain and I love falling asleep to the sound of rain. Puss is walking around the room, starring at me, trying to convince me to come play with him but as he sees I’m actually busy at the moment, he decides to look out the window as well. This is the perfect kind of day to cozy inside, catch up on the reading, watch a few episodes of my favourite tv shows, eat some chocolate biscuits and think about nothing else. Wishing you a great start of the week, hope you enjoy the new post and I’ll see you around!
New week, new outfit post, new to-do list, new challenges, more black, more bows. Some days it does feel hard to keep up with everything, especially since all I feel like doing these days is hide under a blanket and read. Those of you following me on Insagram already know that my Valentine’s Day gift arrived earlier (read I stumbled across my gift and ruined my Fiance’s surprise), during the weekend more precisely and that I received a lovely Kindle, along with a selection of books that I’ve been meaning to read for so long. Only the best gift in the entire world if you ask me ♥
I don’t know exactly why, but apparently I am being drawn back towards black as of lately. Maybe the freezing weather or the moody winter sky influenced my most recent switch of direction, but this is what I feel like wearing every day now. Black, black, some gray, some white and then black again. Oh well, I guess it’s just another phase that once gone, will allow me to fully enjoy lively colors again, hopefully soon.
I will try to be super quick today as a lot of work is awaiting and I’m still having breakfast. I don’t know how that happened, actually I do, but I like to pretend I don’t. Wasting time is my specialty. Anyway, I’ll leave you with a couple of pictures we shoot yesterday at one of my favorite spots. Why my favorite? Because it looks good in the photos and because it’s completely deserted, meaning no judgmental eyes starring and no people passing by ^.^ I also wanted to thank you for all of your lovely comments ♥ I’m sorry I haven’t found the time to reply to each and every one of them like I usually do, but things are a bit hectic right now. Until next time, take care and have a lovely day!
