Celebrity Fashion Crush – The Black Blazer

I personally have learned a lot about style from celebrities, how could I have not, when one of my favorite activities growing up implied tons of celebrity pictures, cropped out from magazines and then masterfully placed into what I loved to call – my fashion journals?

Now, I somehow try to carry on the tradition, as Oteea Land and Photoshop have replaced my old fashion journals, the glue, the glitter and the colored pencils. The joy of what I’m doing remained the same, though.

For some of the special events that require a more elevated look, we can finally give the LBD a well deserved break and switch for the androgynous style. As celebrity love it, the black blazer, paired with black pants, it’s now the chic way to go.

Celebrity-Fashion-Crush---The-Black-BlazerEmma Roberts opted for a relaxed but tailored look by pairing a black blazer, with black skinny pants and a simple white t-shirt. Alexandre Birman Spring 2012 Strappy sandals completed her outfit.

Jessica Alba looked flawless in Tokyo, wearing a black Tommy Hilfiger pantsuit, that she paired with a classic white shirt and complementary black pumps. Stylish!

Lily Collins worked the masculine trend by pairing a black Dolce & Gabbana blazer with a high-waist pair of Paule Ka pants. The delicate ivory ruffle blouse added a Victorian touch, as the look was finished with black pumps and a red box clutch.

Due to the endless styling possibilities – the Black Blazer is a wardrobe essential.

Minka Kelly – Opening of Australia’s Marquee Nightclub

Before heading towards what’s new at the beginning of this week, I would really like to go back to last Friday night, when the lovely Minka Kelly, attended amongst other celebrities, the Opening of Australia’s Marquee Nightclub, at The Star in Pyrmont, Sydney.

Minka-Kelly---J-Brand-&-Dolce-&-GabbanaI couldn’t have missed her rock-chic, soft and hard look, mixing an edgy half-sleeve J Brand Baez Leather top with a fun pair of Dolce & Gabbana Print Stretch Cotton pants.

Other bold pops of color were added by the Jimmy Choo Vibe blue watersnake peep-toe platform pumps and by the yellow Jimmy Choo Cosma patent clutch.

Minka styled her look using the Cartier Love Bracelet, a red nail polish and long bouncy waves.

Shailene Woodley – 2012 BAFTA Film Awards

On a Monday filled with the Grammy’s Red Carpet, I might have slightly mentioned somewhere, how disappointing I found the 2012 BAFTA Film Awards fashion. I also mentioned that only one look, out of everything I saw, stood out for me, but what I failed to do, is write about it yesterday.

Shailene Woodley was the young star who wore a Dolce&Gabbana design, for the prestigious award ceremony, held on Sunday, and looked pretty much like a delicate ballerina in it.

The youthful look, suited to perfection the 20 year old actress, who’s loving the blush strapless gown, with an empire waist, and romantic rose embellishments. Matching Jimmy Choo sandals and minimal jewelry, styled the darling appearance, made on a freezing London night.

A bold lavender lip shade, plus a top knot hairstyle, complemented Shailene’s look. Young and sweet, right ?

Jennifer Lopez – Fabulous Winter Days

Jennifer Lopez is as busy as always this winter, promoting both, the Season 11 of American Idol, and her latest project, Q Viva! The Chosen.

For some of us (to say at least), winter is kind of a nightmare season regarding fashion, because we have to put our well being ahead of our need to look flawless, meaning 3 layers of warm clothing, maybe not even the most flattering ones, instead of just throwing on a light, cool looking and stylish outfit, to carry us throughout the day.

But for the lovely Jennifer Lopez, winter is a dreamy scenery, perfect to showcase a parade of the most wonderful designer pieces.

The neutral look, worn during a guest appearance on The Today Show, combined a white fur coat, a Valentino rock stud messenger bag and a Fendi Drawstring jumpsuit, for an overall glamorous outfit.

Before entering the Late Show with David Letterman, Jennifer was spotted in a beige wool coat with fur insets signed Alberta Ferretti, wich she teamed with Jimmy Choo Kiln Booties.

The third look, ought to be my favorite one, as Jennifer rocks a power pink Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2011 double-breasted coat, by pairing it with Charlotte Olympia Masako pumps, for a New York City day look.

Finally, seen outside her New York City hotel, Jennifer chose to wear a grey Paul & Joe Sister Edisson Swing coat, accessorized with Jimmy Choo Eros Platform pumps and a Fendi Peekaboo Leather tote.

Blake Lively – Haywire New York Screening

I must admit that before seeing Blake Lively at the Haywire New York Screening, it never occurred to me you could actually pair knitwear and sequins. Even now, I’m not sure how to feel about it, but as I’ve always had lots of appreciation for the girls who push the boundaries, without always considering rules, for the girls who remember that fashion is supposed to be fun in the first place, I decided to post the outfit. For me, Blake, is one of those girls.

The Dolce & Gabbana gray knitted mini skirt, was teamed with a Dolce & Gabbana silver sequined short sleeve top and a pair of Matiko Stella wedge booties (that sell for $179.95).

A pair of black tights, a relaxed hairstyle and natural make-up completed the look.

How do you feel about Blake’s look ?

Rachel McAdams – February 2012 Glamour Cover

Wearing a pink Mivi shirt and a pair of Dolce & Gabbana shorts, Rachel McAdams looks adorable on the cover of Glamour US, for the February 2012 issue.

Rachel McAdams - Glamour US - February 2012

Talking about her upcoming movie The Vow (in which she plays an amnesiac whose husband, played by Channing Tatum, tries to woo her back), love on set and her normal Toronto life, Rachel doesn’t get lovelier than that.

You can check her entire interview (it’s worth your time) on the official Glamour page, here :).

And if you still haven’t seen the trailer for The Vow but you’re a sucker for romance (I am one of those, yes), I hope you enjoy it :
