I have been wanting to shoot an all black outfit for the blog for quite a while now, but somehow, with all the gorgeous weather going on and all the blossoming flowers beautifying the city, it just didn’t seem appropriate. Instead, I chose to switch the focus on light colors and easy silhouettes, as they seem to intensify my happiness these days. Nothing like these long afternoon walks accompanied by gorgeous candy colors, messy buns and comfy sneakers. Hope you’re all having a great week so far, lots of love ♥ ♥ ♥
EN: Oversized blazer, checked. Lots and lots of black, checked. My favourite purse at the moment, cheched. High heels and statement necklece, checked. I guess this is what defines a great winter outfit for me, minus the heels which I still prefer to wear occasionally, as most of the times it’s too cold for them anyway. With my hair tucked-in and a pretty lipstick on, this is how I choose to keep warm, comfortable and classy, all at the same time. Wishing you a great weekend, can’t believe it’s Friday already! Thank you for reading ♥
For me, throwing on a cap and a pair of sneakers comes easy and has nothing to do with trends. I just love wearing super comfortable clothes and I would do it all the time if the other half of me wouldn’t long for some femininity, romance or edge from time to time. Safe to assume that I love experimenting with fashion and if a few years back I would have said no to a lot of ideas, now I’m more inclined to say that I would try anything, at least once, to just know how it feels if for nothing else.
When we took these pictures the temperatures were way below zero, and yet they didn’t stop me from wearing a skirt and my beloved leather jacket. Basically, for a little while there I became one of those girls people look at on the streets wondering “What is she thinking? She will freeze completely” As a matter of fact, my two pairs of tights and the warm sweater underneath prevented that from happening, but I wasn’t feeling exactly warm either. It was bearable for a couple of hours of running errands, taking some pictures, drinking a hot tea and running back home.
As I look down the window and I see all that white outside, I finally feel like Christmas is coming. Yesterday we had our first snow and it was magical, although it didn’t last all that much. Must love December ! It’s freezing cold, but it’s beyond beautiful. As usual, my days were filled with work hours as it’s quite a busy time of the year but I do try to make the best out of the little free time I am left with.
After a magical Friday spent in the company of one of my best friends ♥, my Saturday morning started off with a delicious fruity breakfast, followed by a quick play-time round with Puss, who’s getting more and more adorable each day. It was exactly what I needed in order to be able to concentrate on work during the following hours. And in a short break between articles, I wanted to share with you some of the pictures we took on Thursday. It was a windy and cold day, but we had fun shooting, and I guess it shows.
After what seemed like a busy, busy week I finally found some free time today to get out and enjoy the little things I love, like an afternoon walk, the crisp air and the hot tea that makes this season extra special. As the city is getting ready to light up for Christmas, I just realized that my favorite time of the year is getting so close now. I remember the years when I would start the countdown to Christmas all the way from October, and I remember my excitement growing with every passing day. This year instead, the last three months flew by so quickly that I barely had time to catch up.
