Five days it’s a long time for me to go without a new post and I apologize for the lack of activity here on the blog lately. But since I’m experiencing what might be the busiest time of the year for me, filled with deadlines, projects, to-do lists, visits to the vet and so on, I can hardly find any time to relax, much less to go out and take pictures. I guess I just haven’t figured out the perfect way to balance it all yet, that’s why some days I manage to complete everything with success, while others I feel like the more I do, the farther I get from having it it all rounded. Does that even make sense to you?
I cannot let a day pass by without writing on my Blog, it feels like “betrayal” If I don’t find a little time to spare for my dear friends. Today I decided to hit the pause button on the Fashion World, just for Christmas, as I want to make the best of these magic moments, I want to enjoy time spent with friends and family, I want to eat a lot of cookies, watch good movies and wait for Santa.
I hope you have a lovely day today, getting everything ready for Christmas Dinner ! Don’t forget to leave Santa his milk and cookies somewhere near the Christmas Tree ! XO
With only two days left until Christmas Eve, some of us are still wondering what to wear at the Christmas dinner or while waiting for Dear Santa. If you’re going to spend the Holidays at home or in a place that doesn’t require a party outfit, then you should definitely check the embellished sweaters.
A new trend suggests we should replace the good old reindeer, snowflakes and other Christmas motifs sweater, with ones that are cozy but still look a little more glamorous. If you’re on a budget (and most of us are) you should check out ModCloth, French Connection, Asos or TopShop for some cute pieces :
If you want to invest in a designer sweater than you should check The Outnet, Net A Porter or My Wardrobe :
What will you wear for Christmas ?
With only 13 days to go until Christmas Eve <3, I started already thinking about the great joy that is exchanging presents under the Christmas Tree, surrounded by the people you love. Being a late gift shopper it’s right about now when I start searching for the little magic things. If you’re like me and looking for some late inspiration mainly for you’re “girlie” girlfriends, the five gift ideas that I have in mind for this year might get in handy – even if they will just set you in the mood. Let’s start with today’s :
Gift Idea No. 01 – Fashion Books
I think most of us can relate to having in our group of friends at least one who’s truly passionate about fashion and everything else related. If that’s the case, a fashion book could be the perfect gift choice this year. Having quite a variety to select from I stopped at two books that I would enjoy both giving and receiving, for different reasons.
First is The One Hundred: A Guide to the Pieces Every Stylish Woman Must Own by Nina Garcia, a book containing “the 100 items that Nina believes will never go out of style and that have become absolutely indispensable for any woman attaining her own eternal fashion look”. Pretty cool, don’t you think ?
The second book is Tyra Bank’s new fierce novel entitled Modelland . “When you enter the fantastical world of Modelland, you’ll see that Tookie was inspired by Tyra’s life as a supermodel. All those crazy and wild adventures Tookie has with her friends? Some of them were ripped straight from the headlines of Tyra’s life! Tyra knows all about beauty and fashion and fierceness, and she shares everything here in MODELLAND. It’s fun, zany, and 100 bazillion-percent Tyra.” Good enough for me
If this two don’t “fit the profile”, there are plenty others to choose from, so start digging. I will be back tomorrow with the second small gift idea. XO
I bet winter is just around the corner because I can already feel her cold presence taking over. I mean, I love snow, Christmas, the sparkly lights all over and hot chocolate. I cannot wait to make the first snowman – I haven’t done one in like years – , I will definitely wait for Santa but still, why does it have to be so cold ?
Coming cross these images from the Blanco Christmas Campaign, winter suddenly seems less “frightful” :
