The Night of the 1000 Dresses aka The 2012 Met Gala was filled with breathtaking moments, as the A-list Hollywood celebrities took on the Red Carpet looking flawless whilst embracing high fashion, true art and the unbeatable New York spirit.
Tangerine was also a hit color on the celebrity filled Red Carpet last night (May 7).
Ginnifer Goodwin looked ultra feminine in her custom Monique Lhuillier tangerine silk chiffon cap sleeve creation, featuring a central slit and a beautiful beaded detailing on the upper bodice. Brian Atwood pumps which I’m not crazy about, H. Stern jewelry and a Tiffany & Co. clutch styled the appearance. Ginnifer opted to sport her sleek signature pixie cut and gorgeous make up.
Katharine McPhee sparkled amongst the important guests of the 2012 Met Gala as she was wearing a tangerine Georgette fully embroidered gown with a deep square neckline created by Elie Saab. An orange belt to accent the waist line, gold jewelry and a bronze Christian Louboutin Pliage clutch accessorized the bright look. Complementary make up and a chic up do finished off the look.
Kristen Bell stepped on the Red Carpet in a lovely floor length Tommy Hilfiger orange crinkle silk chiffon gown, that featured a crisscross halter neckline and waist ruching. Jimmy Choo heels, vintage Van Cleef and Arpels jewels, and a Judith Leiber clutch in gold, complemented the perfect appearance. Shiny locks and minimal make-up provided the finishing touches.
It’s already five o’clock in the morning and by the time you’ll be reading this article, I’ll be enjoying a good sleep in my comfortable bed. I don’t mind sacrificing a night once in a while for the sake of work related projects, but tonight instead of working, I watched the live stream of the Red Carpet for the 2012 Met Gala – pure glamour I know, but now I somehow feel guilty.
As I mentioned before, the blog is currently going through some changes and some reorganizing issues, but with all the lack of time and new plans, I’m still not ready to give up on the Red Carpet magic. So instead, I figured out a way to be able to write about it, by saving some time nonetheless, especially on big events like this one.
The Ladies in Yellow brought some Spring colors onto the Red Carpet and I enjoyed that a lot.
Solange Knowles looked radiant as she attended the event wearing a bright yellow Rachel Roy strapless gown that featured a peplum waist. A selection of gold rings, an exquisite gold tribal cuff, a silver and gold Edie Parker Flavia clutch and Sergio Rossi heels styled her look. A mass of natural curls and nude lips complemented the appearance.
Emma Roberts also chose a strapless gown with a peplum waist, that was accented by a black belt, both signed Escada. The young actress accessorized her look with Bulgari jewelry, a sparkly Swarovski clutch and Christian Louboutin shoes. Soft curls and impeccable make-up provided the finishing touches.
January Jones opted to wear an Atelier Versace Spring 2012 custom gown, featuring a structured bodice with metallic accents and yet another peplum waist. The Mad Men actress looked stunning as she paired the yellow gown with a turquoise Cartier statement necklace, a bold orange lip color and a sleek bob. Gold Versace heels finished the look.
The time to write about a favorite Victoria Beckham look has arrived today, as I was finally impressed by her latest appearance during the Lane Crawford Event, held in Hong Kong on April 25.
Other than striking her signature pose at the event, Victoria was picture perfect in a mix of Victoria Beckham and Miu Miu numbers.
Her white tailored pencil dress, featuring simple lines and accented by a white belt, was teamed with a light blue long-sleeved Miu Miu mini cardigan featuring embroidery in contrasting color.
Nude Christian Louboutin pumps and minimal gold jewelry styled the look.
Flawless make up and a sweet side-swept braid provided the finishing touches.
The lovely Emily Blunt delivered yet another beautiful Red Carpet moment as she attended the Your Sister’s Sister Premiere during the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival, yesterday.
The actress made her own lady in red appearance by donning a Michael Kors Fall 2012 dress.
The delicate red floral lace long-sleeve dress with a leather skinny belt, was accessorized with the light-brown leather Christian Louboutin Viola sandals and a caramel Louis Vuitton Trésor Crocodile minaudiere.
Gold flower stud earrings and a selection of gold rings complemented the feminine look.
Beauty wise Emily opted for a chic loose bun and pale pink glossy lips.
Sophia Bush was one of the celebrity guests attending the 3rd Annual Origins Rocks Earth Month Concert, featuring performances from singer/songwriters Gavin DeGraw and Vanessa Carlton, at Webster Hall, New York City on April 18.
The beautiful actress sported a modern chic look from designer Kimberly Ovitz’s Fall 2011 collection.
Her green scoop-neck Macon dress features croc embroidery, cap sleeves and a sexy opened back.
The sporty mini dress felt a little more elegant with the help of the purple Christian Louboutin Bambou Platform Peep Toe pumps and the Dannijo statement necklace.
Soft waves and a bold pink lip color added the final touches.
Summer doesn’t feel close anymore after a series of cold rainy days took over the town, and when I’m looking at the hot cup of raspberries and vanilla tea sitting on my desk, it feels even more distant.
At least my spirit feels all summery and cheerful, especially when I’m looking at the beautiful and colorful dress Ashley Tisdale wore at The Lucky One Los Angeles Premiere, where she was supporting her friend and High School Musical co-star, Zac Efron.
The two tone Naven charmeuse dress in peach and cali blue, featuring satin rope straps and a sweetheart neckline, was paired with the nude patent leather Christian Louboutin Burlina Peep Toe pumps.
Gold accessories, soft wavy locks and glossy lips provided the finishing touches.
Now that’s a perfectly cute summer look !
I wish I could say that the Easter weekend was all about relaxation, peace and quiet, but with all the fluster and the arrangements, it turned out to be quite the opposite.
But before I could even begin recharging my batteries, I need to pay special attention to some of the outfits I missed out during this Holiday break.
On April 13, designer Stella McCartney hosted the premiere of Paul McCartney’s music video “My Valentine” at the West Hollywood Stella McCartney boutique. An impressive amount of Hollywood stars joined the celebration, all dressed to impress in a series of looks signed by the British designer.
The fairest of them all, singer Gwen Stefani, looked effortless chic whilst flaunting her perfect silhouette in a Stella McCartney Fall 2011 number.
The daring black silk jumpsuit with sheer inserts, featured a long-sleeve top with a peplum waist and side-panel stretch trousers. A classic pair of Christian Louboutin Pigalle Point-Toe pumps, a metallic clutch and gold jewelry accessorized the look.
Gwen completed her signature style with a messy bun, red lips and a red nail polish, just the right amount of bold color. It’s not an easy look to pull off, but luckily Gwen was impeccable.
