I can see the finish line, as we’re almost approaching the end of the fashionable 2012 Met Gala round up and review. And I don’t know about you, but I loved every little moment of it with all the good, the bad and the A-mazing. Another great year.
Diane Kruger showcased her love for couture and risk-taking last night, as she grabbed everyone’s attention with her purple loose-fitting silk chiffon Prada gown, that featured a V neckline and an ostrich feathered hemline. The iconic actress styled her romantic appearance with a gold necklace with purple stones, a gold arm bracelet and a pink embellished clutch. Delicate make up and long, straight tresses provided the finishing touches.
Marion Cotillard combined her adorable playfulness with the event required elegance by donning a Christian Dior gown. The French design consisting of a shimmering black sleeveless bodice and a purple sheer structured bottom with delicate accents was paired with Christian Dior shoes and clutch, plus Chopard jewelry. Marion finished her look with a chic up do and soft pink lips.
Beyonce Knowles had planned a showstopping entrance for the 2012 Met Gala, as she walked the Red Carpet with pure confidence in a dramatic Givenchy Couture black lace gown, with a black and purple train of feathers. The sheer bodice that left little to the imagination, was carefully embellished with sparkling black sequins placed in all the right places. With such a statement piece for a dress, Beyonce didn’t need to accessorize at all, playing it smart with only a sleek ponytail and a coral lipstick.
Emily Blunt finally premiered her latest movie, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, at the Directors Guild of America in Hollywood, Los Angeles, having her co-star Ewan McGregor by her side for the event.
As always, the darling actress looked beautiful, this time wearing a Naeem Khan Fall 2012 dress, recently presented during New York Fashion Week.
The oh-so-feminine dotted black and white cocktail dress, channeling the 1950s, features a strapless bodice and a tea-length bouffant skirt.
A pair of cute Gianvito Rossi Spring 2012 Peep Toe Bow sandals and Chopard jewels, completed the retro inspired look.
Shiny straight hair, a pink lipstick and a black eyeliner contouring her cat eye make-up, were the perfect choice to complement the dress.
If the other week, I got the chance to see a first look from the recently presented J.Mendel Fall 2012 collection, courtesy of Rooney Mara, this week, Nina Dobrev rocked a second look from the collection, for the 20th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party.
She looked delightful, as she attended the party alongside co-star and boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder. They make for a … hot couple.
Her black cut out gown, featuring a V-neck, geometrically structured bodice and a full length pleated skirt, looked darling and romantic on the young actress, despite the dark color.
A silver sparkly Jimmy Choo clutch, Brian Atwood heels and Chopard White Gold Diamond Flower earrings, complemented the flawless look.
A single textured fishtail braid and smokey eyes, seemed like the perfect fit for the flowy dress.
Lots of beautiful dresses already posted and lots of beautiful dresses laying ahead, too bad the clock is ticking and time passes by so fast. But less words, more looks and keeping up with the blues, our next Red Carpet moment includes Freida Pinto, donning a Custom Prada gown at yesterday’s 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards.
The teal Prada peacock ball gown was a fashion risk that had all eyes on the lovely Miss Pinto, whilst being paired with a Chopard Red Carpet diamond lattice necklace and a Roger Vivier Boite de Nuit clutch.
A bouffant half-up, half-down ‘do, smokey eyes and a nude lip color for an overall glamorous look.
I don’t know how you feel about this look, but I liked it a lot ( I just wish she didn’t wore the necklace).
Other winners of the big night :

On December 13th, Kate Beckinsale co-hosted the FLAUNT Magazine Dinner at the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles. Choosing a look from Michael Kors’s Fall 2011 collection for this event, the always beautiful British actress looked refined and truly amazing.
The Little Black sparkly asymmetric draped Dress was paired with Jimmy Choo Esam Platform Pumps and a black velvet Christian Louboutin Eugenia Clutch for a perfect holiday season appearance.
A large black leather waistband and Chopard jewelry complemented the look.
Beauty wise, Kate opted for pink glossy lips and a voluminous ponytail at which she added some curls.
Can’t wait to see more of Kate Beckinsale ! <3
When it comes to designers, one name and one only can be easily called my favorite : Elie Saab. Of course, the Fall 2011 collection was amongst my Paris Fashion Week highlights this spring. And I honestly think this dress that Irina wore in Madrid, at the Marie Claire Prix a la Moda awards held at the French Embassy, couldn’t have gotten a better “half”. The dress looked amazing , while the supermodel shined the best I have yet seen her.
The ivory sparkle gown was accessorized with Chopard diamond earrings and a blue jeweled cocktail ring. As for the shoes, well they were not perfect, the Christian Louboutin heels were definitely not the best option for this fabulous dress . But I’m stuck on the dress anyway, so what shoes ? :).
