Slowly, but surely I get to write about everyone I love on this blog, even if it’s right on time or slightly delayed. One of my favorite singers in the world, since like I can even remember, had a couple of busy days in New York City this week, showcasing her incredible post-baby figure, as well as her unique sense of style.
On March 19, Beyonce attended the fundraiser hosted by first lady Michelle Obama, where tickets started at $5,000, raising cash for the Obama Victory Fund.
For the special occasion, the new mommy wore a navy Victoria Beckham V-Neck Sheath dress, with three-quarter sleeves and double front patch pockets. She paired the fitting dress with Nicholas Kirkwood Satin and Glitter sandals and accessorized with a Lanvin Spring 2012 Eagle Long necklace.
A blue nail polish, a sleek ponytail and flawless make-up completed the ravishing look.
On Thursday, Beyonce was spotted in New York City, heading into an office building and wearing a beautiful floral Spring look.
Bee teamed the Stella McCartney Resort 2012 Hawaiian-print silk trousers, with a black shirt and accented the look with a hot pink Bottega Veneta intrecciato leather detailing belt and yellow pumps.
Gold hoop earrings, a sleek ponytail and sunglasses finished up the multicolored look.
As I had highly hoped, Michelle Williams added a bright pop of color to the Red Carpet for the 2012 Academy Awards, by choosing to wear a classic silhouette created by previously worn designer, Louis Vuitton. Despite the sad fact that she didn’t won an Oscar for the impersonation of Marilyn Monroe, her look for the big night glowed on delicacy.
The floor length strapless peplum gown, bright colored in coral, was quietly styled by Michelle, as she added another feminine touch using a jeweled bow detail at the waist.
Forever Mark jewelry and a pink Bottega Veneta Crocodile Knot clutch, complemented the darling look.
Sporting her polished pixie cut and red lips, Michelle signed off on a memorable appearance.
On February 11, the music industry attended the 2012 ROC Nation Pre-Grammy Brunch, held in Hollywood, and guess who stepped onto the Red Carpet for the event ? Yes, the lovely Rihanna, and surprisingly or not, she ditched the bad chick outfits for the night, and looked elegant by mixing two looks, both part of the Bottega Veneta Resort 2012 collection.
I must admit that this unadventurous version of Rihanna, feels a bit unusual, but interesting nonetheless. For this effect, she paired the Bottega Veneta Resort 2012 cotton corset, with the Bottega Veneta Resort 2012 cotton pants.
Black Christian Louboutin Pigalle Plato pumps, gold jewelry (she wears that a whole lot lately) and a far more special House of Harlow 1960 Antiqued Arrow Cuff, accessorized the brunchy look.
Beauty wise, Riri opted for natural blonde curls, black nail polish and a dark lip color.
I still don’t know how to feel about this appearance, but two things are for sure, I’m excited to see Riri back on the Red Carpet and I’m far more curious now, to see how she will surprise us for the Grammys ! I guess we’ll find out tomorrow.
It’s been a while since I have done my latest Essentials episode, almost a month actually, and I quite forgot how fun it is to mix and match brands, colors, fabrics. I said fun, but it is also an extremely time consuming activity, maybe just for me, as I get caught in the “research” and sometimes forget to put a stop to it.
Skipping to the point, this forth episode has all three looks based on a piece that proves to be absolutely necessary in ones wardrobe : the black blazer. I happen to love blazers no matter the color, but somehow the black one seems to be the classic way to go and there’s nothing wrong with sticking to the classics, now and then. You must have already heard by now that old piece of “shopping” advice, that suggests to always think of possible ways to mix an item, with the clothing already in our closet, right before we purchase it and we find at least one combination, it’s safe to know we will actually be wearing that particular item. Well, when buying a black blazer, there’s no need to worry about all that, as you will be able to find a match for it, in a heart beat.
Enough with the bla bla, let’s skip to the important part, the three looks :
I used : Current/Elliot – The Stiletto low-rise cropped skinny jeans ; Maison Martin Margiela – Stretch-wool blazer ; Splendid – Cotton and modal-blend top ; Nixon – Time Teller ceramic watch ; Dominic Jones – Scarab Dragonfly 23-karat white gold-plated ring ; Mulberry – Bayswater textured-leather bag ; Miu Miu – Suede pumps.
I used : Vionnet – Matte-satin dress ; Maison Martin Margiela – Stretch-wool blazer ; Bottega Veneta – Blackened oxidized-silver shell necklace ; Falke – Pure Matt 100 denier black tights ; Church’s – Classic Burwood glossy leather brogues ; Anya Hindmarch – Mini Gracie leather shoulder bag.
I used : Eddie Borgo – Silver-plated turquoise spike earrings ; Maison Martin Margiela – Stretch-wool blazer ; Burberry Prorsum – Beaded textured-leather wristlet clutch ; Christian Louboutin – Gril 120 patent-leather sandals ; Diane Von Furstenberg – Mara asymmetric sequined silk top ; Todd Lynn – Herault crepe and leather skinny pants.
Needless to say you can find all of the items on Net-A-Porter.
