I can see the finish line, as we’re almost approaching the end of the fashionable 2012 Met Gala round up and review. And I don’t know about you, but I loved every little moment of it with all the good, the bad and the A-mazing. Another great year.
Diane Kruger showcased her love for couture and risk-taking last night, as she grabbed everyone’s attention with her purple loose-fitting silk chiffon Prada gown, that featured a V neckline and an ostrich feathered hemline. The iconic actress styled her romantic appearance with a gold necklace with purple stones, a gold arm bracelet and a pink embellished clutch. Delicate make up and long, straight tresses provided the finishing touches.
Marion Cotillard combined her adorable playfulness with the event required elegance by donning a Christian Dior gown. The French design consisting of a shimmering black sleeveless bodice and a purple sheer structured bottom with delicate accents was paired with Christian Dior shoes and clutch, plus Chopard jewelry. Marion finished her look with a chic up do and soft pink lips.
Beyonce Knowles had planned a showstopping entrance for the 2012 Met Gala, as she walked the Red Carpet with pure confidence in a dramatic Givenchy Couture black lace gown, with a black and purple train of feathers. The sheer bodice that left little to the imagination, was carefully embellished with sparkling black sequins placed in all the right places. With such a statement piece for a dress, Beyonce didn’t need to accessorize at all, playing it smart with only a sleek ponytail and a coral lipstick.
It is official, as of today, the super talented singer, songwriter, actress, better yet, the one and only, Beyonce Knowles graces the latest cover of People magazine’s Most Beautiful issue, as the artist has been named world’s most beautiful woman in 2012. Yay !!!
Beyonce looks nothing but stunning on the May cover, as she strikes a pose in a white opulent Marchesa Spring 2012 gown, paired with the 200-carat Lorraine Schwartz turquoise and champagne diamond necklace.
The beautiful and valuable statement necklace, was previously worn by supermodel Heidi Klum during the 2012 Golden Globes, so it might come across as familiar, even if the jewelry piece has been turned backwards for the People’s photoshoot. Still breathtaking.
A matching bracelet featuring the same combination of turquoise stones, placed alongside two other precious diamond studded bracelets and a turquoise over-sized ring, all signed Lorraine Schwartz, fell into place in this super-glamorous look.
Beyonce’s favorite light blue-nail polish, impeccable make-up and a soft up do provided the finishing touches.
For the other amazing photos, the interview and all the names who made it onto the Most Beautiful list, don’t forget to pick up People’s May issue, already on newsstands.
Slowly, but surely I get to write about everyone I love on this blog, even if it’s right on time or slightly delayed. One of my favorite singers in the world, since like I can even remember, had a couple of busy days in New York City this week, showcasing her incredible post-baby figure, as well as her unique sense of style.
On March 19, Beyonce attended the fundraiser hosted by first lady Michelle Obama, where tickets started at $5,000, raising cash for the Obama Victory Fund.
For the special occasion, the new mommy wore a navy Victoria Beckham V-Neck Sheath dress, with three-quarter sleeves and double front patch pockets. She paired the fitting dress with Nicholas Kirkwood Satin and Glitter sandals and accessorized with a Lanvin Spring 2012 Eagle Long necklace.
A blue nail polish, a sleek ponytail and flawless make-up completed the ravishing look.
On Thursday, Beyonce was spotted in New York City, heading into an office building and wearing a beautiful floral Spring look.
Bee teamed the Stella McCartney Resort 2012 Hawaiian-print silk trousers, with a black shirt and accented the look with a hot pink Bottega Veneta intrecciato leather detailing belt and yellow pumps.
Gold hoop earrings, a sleek ponytail and sunglasses finished up the multicolored look.
“Without music life would be a mistake“ said Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche. And I think it’s so,so true considering that we listen to music while jogging, on long trips, while walking home from school/work , at the gym, in the car, at home and I could go on like this forever. So music related gifts seem to be a pretty inspired option.
Gift Idea No. 03 – Music Related Gifts
The first name that popped into my head when I thought of what I would gladly give and also would love to receive – music related of course – was Rihanna. And when I say Rihanna, I instantly think of her brand new sixth studio album, entitled Talk That Talk in Deluxe Edition, that last month went Certified Platinum in the UK after just a week, selling 300,000 copies. If “We Found Love” sets the tone of the album, me and my girlfriends would definitely love to hear more.
The second gift idea is somehow related to the previous as it is Beyonce’s Live At Roseland: Elements Of 4 DVD, that officially went on sale on November 29. The entire stellar performance packed in a 2-disc Deluxe Edition would make a great holiday gift especially to a Beyonce fan. Along with the amazing 72-minute performance, the deluxe set also comes with the album 4 and a video anthology, featuring the videos for seven of 4‘s hit tracks.
And last but not least I came across this cute Diane von Furstenberg Chain Link Earbuds ($25), that you can order online at www.shopbob.com and has FREE delivery worldwide in 3 days or less.
