This time of the year is both amazing and exciting for me, with Fashion Week just kicking off in New York City, I’m like a happy little girl, waiting, anticipating, dreaming and getting excited, over the next best things in fashion. Hopefully, I will have the right amount of time and energy, to talk about all the things that I will find appealing, surprising, interesting or simply amazing.
Starting with the BCBG Max Azria‘s collection for Fall 2012, that was presented during yesterday’s schedule, here’s what I loved most: the focus on the perfectly ready to wear chiffon dresses, the playfulness of the geometric lines, mixed with the color blocking details, the teaming of more neutral hues, both with shades of cognac and camels, and rich colors like tangerine, electric blue, yellow and green. It seems like the Spring 2012 star colors, together with the color blocking concept, are still in and big during fall and winter seasons.
I also loved the quiet elegance of the entire collection, accentuated mostly by the matching of structured lines, with sheer and light materials. Leather and fur cover up pieces, relaxed silhouettes and ankle strap heels, seemed like an appropriate way to take on the first days of fall.
My favorite pieces of the collection were the black cropped leather jacket with multicolored fur on the sleeves (first look seen above) and the color-block chiffon dress pictured below :
As previously mentioned, black ankle strap sandals, big clutch bags and sleek ponytails, styled the Fall 2012 collection.
