Katy Perry – 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards

I’m still waiting for the day, when tired of experimenting with all the crazy colors, Katy will return to her brunette self, the one I love the most. But until that day comes, I’m at least enjoying her passion for couture and dramatic, sophisticated gowns.

For the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards, Katy Perry chose to wear a sky blue Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture gown, from the designer’s most recent collection, presented back in January, in Paris.

The divine floor-length crystal embellished backless gown, with a tiny bow belt accentuating the waist line, served for a romantic and delicate appearance.

The matching blue hair, was swept into a classic up-do, whilst Norman Silverman diamond jewelry, styled the delightful gown.

Katy Perry completed the look with bold pink lips and fluttering lashes. If it wasn’t for the hair, this look would have been head to toe perfect, but even so, it’s something worth remembering.

Rihanna – 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards

After the laid-back look worn by Rihanna at the 2012 ROC Nation Pre-Grammy Brunch, I was kind of expecting her to blew us away whilst attending the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

And she did, by proving also that it doesn’t take much for her, to steal the spotlight. On Sunday night, all eyes were on the Giorgio Armani custom dress, that Riri co-designed and wore with such attitude.

The black custom made gown, had a deep plunging neckline, a bold thigh-high central split, a daring opened back, and yet, enough silk coverage, to keep the gown dignifying.

The daring look was completed with a Jimmy Choo Spring 2011 Metallic Cosma clutch, Christian Louboutin Bis Un Bout pumps gold jewelry and flawless make-up.

I don’t know how you’ll feel about this look, I just think it complemented both her sillouethe, and her always sexy attitude. Some women were born to wear dresses like this one.

Taylor Swift – 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards

This weekend was filled with big events, as both the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards and the 2012 BAFTA Awards, took place on Sunday. Luckily for my tight schedule, but unluckily for my high set expectations, the Red Carpet at the BAFTAS, was more like a huge disappointment, as one single look stood out for me the entire night, but more on that later.

The story was totally different at the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards, where the ladies really did their best to impress. The first one to caught my eye, was the lovely Taylor Swift, as she shined in a Zuhair Murad Fall 2011 Couture gown, much like the ones she loves to wear at these type of events.

The high-neck nude mermaid gown, displayed an intricate design of gold and rose-gold beading, hand-embroidered on silk. Paired with Prada Metallic Leather Criss-Cross Platform sandals, the gown looked absolutely stunning on Taylor.

To match the Far East influences on her dress, Taylor opted for a sleek high bun, neutral make up in bronze shades and delicate gold jewelry.

Complementing the winning look, Taylor received two Grammy Awards on the big night, so congratulations are in order for both wins.
