Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far, now that it’s starting to actually feel like summer. I for one am getting ready to join our friends for an evening barbeque just as I write this. I really need the time off, away from the computer & the TV (we just started watching 24 and it is kind of addictive) to just talk, eat & relax a bit. This means I won’t bore you too much today, but I will leave you with these bright and lovely photographs that truly epitomize summer in my eyes with all the white, yellow, gold, sunny weather & empty little streets.
Thank you for reading, I’m sending lots of love and I will see you on Facebook, Instagram & Pinterest ♥ ♥ ♥
Those of you who have been following this blog for a while now, probably stumbled upon the fact that a little rain doesn’t upset me, quite the contrary as I feel most peaceful when its pouring outside. But after weeks of unfriendly weather, even I found myself missing the good old summer. It’s June after all, and we need some sun, warmth and some happier vibes in our lives to fully enjoy the season. This kind of unpredictable weather doesn’t encourage planning for outfits either, as I found myself totally missing the mark these past days.
But as luck will have it, I happen to build my favorite outfits right when I have no idea what to put on. I wore this all black combination of soft lace and masculine tailoring for a date night, and I couldn’t miss on the opportunity to photograph it since we walked by one of my favorite spots in town. For me, it’s sort of
my a secret garden – although everyone knows about it – but I absolutely love the flowers and the atmosphere there.
Hope you enjoy the pictures, have a great weekend! Lost of love ♥ ♥ ♥
For me, summer means letting go of everything that’s complicated, consuming, overwhelming. So this would be my portrait during a hot, hot day: hair allowed to breath in its natural state; as little make-up on as possible (although I’m still addicted to black eyeliner, I should definitely try on other colors); easy and breathable clothes, preferably in light fabrics and pastel shades, but I’m not one to shy away from black either; comfy shoes, if they’re pretty all the better; a beautiful hat and a pair of sunnies to top it all off.
This outfit may not be glamorous and all, but it is totally me because I love to feel at ease when I’m soaking up all the beauty surrounding me. The park is incredible this time of the year, nothing like walking it hand in hand with my hubby, talking about nothing and everything, listening to the birds chirping, reminiscing over childhood memories, making plans for the months to come.
I always believed happiness is made of small things, but during summer is when I am constantly reminded of it. Wishing you a beautiful weekend, lots of hugs and lots of kisses. Thanks for reading ♥ ♥ ♥
I love clothes. Some passionately, others a little bit less, some for all the right reasons, others in spite of knowing they are not exactly my cup of tea. Not long after launching my blog, I realized I love simplicity and I also realized that I am most drawn towards those type of garments that I can mix & match the effortless way. That is when I knew I was finally getting over the idea of having a huge closet, and started building one based on classic items instead. Much like this plain white shirt that I love to wear with nearly everything.
But from time to time I also feel the need to step out of my comfort zone, to try new things, to play dress up. Little did I knew the answer to all of that would be sequins. But I did fell in love with this gorgeous skirt the moment I saw it, I waited patiently for it to arrive and put it on that same day to go out and take some pictures. I would have loved it even more if it would have fitted me perfectly (I knew I should have gone with the S size, instead of the M I eventually picked out), but there’s nothing a sewing machine can’t fix (hopefully).
I’ll leave you with the pictures & I’m wishing you a bright and happy weekend! Hugs & kisses ♥ ♥ ♥
