I guess when dealing with such moody, unpredictable, too-cold-for-this-time-of-year weather some people choose to fight it with lots of color, bold prints and light layers. I instead, seem to be plunging right in and embracing its darker side without hesitation. When I put together this outfit, I wasn’t exactly going for all-black, I was thinking more in terms of comfort and warmth, but then again I didn’t exactly try to influence the final result either. You know me, I can’t resist
lots of some black from time to time.
Also, these rainy days begged for coziness and time spent at home, so I took the opportunity to catch up on my reading. After trying my chance on “The Casual Vacancy” which I ended up not liking as much as I have expected, I went for something lighter and funnier instead. If you happen to like Lauren Graham (Lorelai from Gilmore Girls) just as much as I do, then you will fall in love with her newest book ” Someday, Someday, Maybe“, reading it so far has been a blast. Wishing you all a beautiful rest of the week!
I absolutely adore Saturdays! Even the ones that include some work hours, after all fashion is a 24/7 commitment. This afternoon we “attended” a wedding ceremony at the church where we will celebrate our own special day in two months, just to witness all the steps, take in the atmosphere, look over the details. After that we indulged in coffee & cake, followed by our weekly groceries shopping. I love planning special meals for the upcoming days, refilling the sweets & desserts “department”, picking up things for our home. Now we’re about to serve dinner and after that is all work. The following pictures were taken yesterday, when the weather wasn’t all that friendly but I still refused to wear anything but shorts. Have a happy weekend !!
As I sit here writing the new blog post and I glance outside the window, I can’t help but smile. It’s about to rain and I love rain. Especially when I have no place to be, but home. I love the smell of rain and I love falling asleep to the sound of rain. Puss is walking around the room, starring at me, trying to convince me to come play with him but as he sees I’m actually busy at the moment, he decides to look out the window as well. This is the perfect kind of day to cozy inside, catch up on the reading, watch a few episodes of my favourite tv shows, eat some chocolate biscuits and think about nothing else. Wishing you a great start of the week, hope you enjoy the new post and I’ll see you around!
I can’t remember the last time I’ve put together an inspirational outfit or made a wish list for that matter just to share them with you, especially as I find myself in a constant lack of free time as of lately. That was the first thing I thought about when I received Persunmall‘s invitation to check out their website and share my favorite items with my readers. The timing was also perfect since we haven’t got a chance to shoot for an outfit post yet, spending the majority of the week running errands and planning the wedding. It feels so good to be crossing a few more things out of the list, I can’t even tell you.
Back to the outfits, I must admit I started shuffling the Persunmall website in search of items that my wardrobe is currently missing, read dresses and a touch of color and that of course, would also fit my current mood. You won’t be surprised to find that the first outfit is dipped in black and white, I seriously can’t help it!!!
The first thing that came to mind when I started putting together today’s blog entry was that the 13th of May marks a full year since my very first outfit post
attempt that you may, or may not remember, but that you can still witness here. A lot has changed since then, a lot except for my ongoing love affair with cobalt skirts apparently, even if the one I’m wearing today can only be described as half a skirt. Looking back, there’s a lot I wish I had done differently, but there’s more I am grateful I got to fully experience. This journey has changed me in a lot of ways and it makes me even more curious as in where will I be standing in another year. But thinking about the future isn’t something I like to do very often! Nothing better than the present!
P.S. For those of you not following me on FB, I just did a fun interview with Maya from Archistas. Follow this link to learn a little bit more about me and discover Maya’s wonderful blog!
Wishing you all a happy week ♥
One obsession rolling after another. If black and white put a definite spell on me this year, now I seem to be eager to fill my summer wardrobe with shorts and more shorts. I just love wearing them, love how comfortable they feel, how they look, so I guess I’m going to stick with them for a while now. I’ve been dreaming of a leather pair for quite some time and after trying on various options, I decided to stick with these Zara ones. This outfit was perfect for a day out with friends, for ice-cream on the go, for an afternoon spent taking advantage of the sun and enjoying the company of my fiance. With little time left until the wedding, the to-do-list are piling up and alongside the other ones that are work related, my schedule is as busy as it gets. Maybe that’s why I feel tired all the time, I think I could sleep for an entire week! Enough about me. Enjoy your week-ends and the beautiful weather! Lots of love ♥
Happy Easter !! ♥ I hope you guys spent the most wonderful days surrounded by the ones you love! I decided to take a short break from everything during Easter as I felt the need to recharge my batteries, enjoy good food, indulge in desserts and make the most out of the beautiful weather!
Back to today’s outfit I must admit that for the longest time I kind of disliked anything that had to do with a crop silhouette. That is until last year, when they made such a beautiful return on the runways as paired with high waist pants, skirts and shorts. Now I really consider investing in a few for the summer as the one I’m wearing is longer than I would have wished for it to be. We’re currently working on the blog’s new layout as well, glad you guys are just as excited as I am. It might take a little while but not that long. Now I must go get ready for another Easter family lunch! Have a beautiful day!
