I’m developing a mild Taylor Swift obsession lately, aren’t I ? Well, it’s a good thing she’s a sophisticated lady than, otherwise who knows what examples of good taste I would be constantly giving you ? I love the fact that she is such a girlie girl no matter the circumstances, and today, I was inspired by this feminine, yet comfortable looking outfit, that the singer wore on January 29, whilst shopping a flea market. Can’t wait for summer to arrive, I’m tired of wearing layers and layers of clothes !
Delicate crochet and lace dresses make an interesting trend you could follow this year, as they easily transcend from day to evening and night, and could be the perfect choice either for a morning walk, an afternoon at the beach, or an evening out celebrating.
I used : JAX – Elbow-Sleeved Crochet Dress; Old Navy – Women’s Crossbody Saddle Purses; Mango – Own Necklace In Coral; Monsoon – Simple Skinny Belt; FRYE – Women’s Maya Woven Peep Pump .
Taylor Swift is wearing an Anthropologie dress, a Ralph Lauren purse and FRYE peep pumps, the same I used in the inspired outfit.
Pretty, pretty things.
We’re back to white, with another take on a romantically embellished gown, this time worn by the lovely Judy Greer, at the 2012 SAG Awards. The Collette Dinnigan Fall 2011 design, may slightly resemble a bridal approach, but it doesn’t fail to deliver a so delicate, feminine and chic look.
The floor-length lace embroidered organza gown, was successfully teamed with a bold fuchsia clutch and a pair of dark red drop earrings, for an overall dreamy look.
Beauty wise, Judy opted for red hot lips and a classic up-do. Charming indeed.
I can’t promise I wasn’t subjective when I chose Angelina Jolie, as one of my favorite dressed stars, during the 2012 SAG Awards Ceremony. I know how many of you feel about her currently displaying sense of style, but I think she can always make black and minimal look exciting. For this event, she opted for a black Jenny Packham Fall 2011 gown.
Admitting that I am not usually a fan of the Jenny Packham designs, I find it that Angelina succeeded in looking darling in this black draped shimmery lame gown, with a cowl neck. Vintage black and gold House of Lavande jewelry and a Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton Slim Suede Asphalt clutch, added a plus of elegance to the graceful look.
Angelina Jolie went for a bronze eye shadow and a glossy caramel lip color, while she kept her hair simple and swept back.
Emily Blunt added a so much needed pop of color to the Red Carpet of the 2012 SAG Awards, opting to make her appearance in a beautiful Oscar de la Renta Resort 2012 gown.
The jade green ODLR one-shoulder gown looked amazing against Emily’s porcelain skin tone, and was styled with a Lorraine Schwartz Pink Gemstone and Yellow Gold bracelet, Jimmy Choo Linda Glitter sandals and a Swarovski Pure Evening bag.
A coral shade of lipstick and a classic up do, provided the finishing touches of this romantic and springy look. Pure loveliness.
Switching it from black to white, from a beautiful gown to an elegant jumpsuit, I must say I really enjoyed seeing Rose Byrne take on the Red Carpet, for the 2012 SAG Awards. Surprisingly refreshing, Rose rocked this amazing Elie Saab Fall 2009 Couture jumpsuit, but being such a cutie, it’s no wonder she did.
The beautiful Damages actress, selected a sparkly white beaded jumpsuit, that she accessorized with Jimmy Choo Vibe Platform pumps and a Lena Erziak gold clutch.
A Chanel Baroque ring + a Chanel Baroque cuff, a newly cut bob an neutral make-up, finished the charming look.
With such an amazing start for the Fashion during the Awards Season, given by the the Golden Globes earlier this month, the Red Carpet for the 2012 SAG Awards, left me a tidy bit disappointed. In a sea of either black or white gowns, I hardly found a few looks that didn’t fail to impress me, from ladies who remembered that this is the time to really shine.
Emma Stone, who usually loves a beautiful colorful gown, attended the 2012 SAG Awards wearing a black Alexander McQueen Pre -Fall 2012 dress.
The actress brought life to this Pre-Fall 2012 tea length gown with an exploding lace bustier, pairing it with the Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2012 clutch and black Alexander McQueen heels. Her million dollar smile was the best accessory though.
Tiffany & Co. Paloma’s Venezia Luce Gold & Diamond Earrings, Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co. rings, a smooth, polished up-do and flawless make-up, completed this modern take on the 50s look.
With only 6 outfits to vote for in the Look Of The Week poll, it figures that this week wasn’t as filled with Red Carpet appearances, as you’re used to. Come to think of it, this is pretty much all I enjoyed seeing this week, therefore these six looks represent the quality, not the quantity of the weekly Celebrity Fashion doze.
Once again, feel free to express your vote and on Thursday, be ready to find out which celebrity had the Wow factor this week. Thanks. XO
