Small Holiday Gift Guide – Gift Idea No. 05

Time really knows how to fly. I say this because it’s already the fifth and final day dedicated to my small Holiday Gift Guide and with only 9 days left until Christmas, it’s recommended to start gathering the presents four our dear ones.

The final gift idea is delicate, scented and relaxing. If you can’t guess what it is :

Gift Idea No. 05 – Scented Candles – Christmas Fragrances

I think scented candles make a very cute gift especially if you know what fragrances your friends love. And giving the fact that we can offer this small gifts all throughout the year, this may be the perfect time to choose Season related scents, better more Christmas related scents.

I’ve made a small research to find out which are the best smelling and also affordable candles (remember the budget) and I came up with three options.

The first choice is based on the Bath & Body Works 14.5 oz Three Wick Candles in the scents of Apple Crumble (Baked Granny Smith and McIntosh Apples topped with vanilla crumble, cinnamon and nutmeg – yummy), Gingerbread (The perfect blend of spicy ginger, rich buttercream and brown sugar topped with whipped vanilla frosting), Winter Night (Inspired by the bright moonlight and a distant fire on a crisp, winter night – fir tree, warm cypress and clove bud blend perfectly with cedar and a touch of incense) and Vanilla Bean Noel (A creamy blend of vanilla bean, rich cocoa, and sweet cream with a touch of caramel and brown sugar). They are $19.50 each and burn approximately 40 – 65 hours.

The second option and a lot easier to find are the Yankee Candle scented candles that make also great Christmas decorations. I’m talking about the Wax Potpourri Warmer and the tarts that melt inside for approximately 8 Hours of fragrance delight. You can mix and match scents to create your own personal aroma blends. All you have to to is place the tart in the wax potpourri warmer and place an unscented tea light below.

For this option I chose the Snowman Crackle Wax Potpourri Warmer ($14.99) at which you can add as many tarts you wish for the gift to be complete. One tart is sold for $1.99 and I liked Christmas Cookie (Buttery rich, vanilla scented, holiday sugar cookies), Cinnamon Stick (The fragrant mystery of imported cinnamon bundled with cloves) and Christmas Tree (Like going out in the snow to find that special tree . . . fresh, familiar pine with crisp eucalyptus).

And option number three also comes from Yankee Candles but this time I chose two Large Jar Candles , up to 110 to 150 Hours of Fragrance for $25.99 each. This, in case you want to give a present that lasts longer. The scents I would love to try are Apple Cider (A welcoming aroma of hot cider spiced with cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg) and Christmas Eve (Traditional holiday scents of a warm hearth, sugared plums, and candied fruit)

I will definitely check at least one of this candles for Christmas and I cannot wait to eat some cookies as this post made me craving for them :).

I would love to know what are your favorite scents for Christmas, so leave a comment if you’d like to share.
