Party Like A Rockstar

“There’s a place I know, If you’re looking for a show, where they go hardcore and there’s glitter on the floor” … sounds familiar ? Of course it does, for mainly two reasons : 1. it’s Kesha – Take It Off (great party anthem) and 2. it could be the place everyone’s talking about these days, or haven’t you been already asked ” Where are you going to celebrate the New Year’s Eve ? “. Sure you have, it’s the top question of the month.

So, all throughout the year I’m IN for the comfort, the flats before the heels kind of comfort, always (almost), and that of course has got to change. It’s just got to. And I’m going to end 2011 and start 2012 with a fresh approach, like a lady and instead of wearing super duper comfy shoes, I’m gonna go for heels, black ones. That’s just because I don’t own anything glittery, I would have loved to add some sparkles to the fresh start. Maybe next year.

But that didn’t stopped me from virtually “shopping” or better yet “researching” for the perfect matching heels. What I found were 16 beautiful pairs of shoes, perfect for New Year’s Eve celebration, or any other celebration that is, so I thought I’d share my findings with you, for a little bit of inspiration.

Missoni – Pre-Fall 2012 Collection

It’s such a quiet time of the year in these last days of December, that I am truly starting to miss all the fuzz and the buzz that make the fashion world such an exciting place. Don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate that I finally have the time to catch up on those movies I really wanted to see, watch five episodes of Gossip Girl and then some more, or read my favorite blogs and books (not necessarily in that order) without being time stressed.

Oh well, the Pre-Fall collections of 2012 will have to make up for the all those missing events and dazzling celebrity fashion I miss so much. And having the time to check out the latest collections, gave me a strong taste of how my dream wardrobe would look like in a perfect world, where money would never be a problem, and clothes would never be enough. Of course, in this world, the perfectly organized clothes would have to share a white room with just the perfect amount of shoes, some nice bags, one or two kitties (`cause what’s a dream without a cat hiding in the dressing room ? ) and…I’m still figuring out the rest.

Meanwhile, I would love to add these Missoni Pre-Fall 2012 pieces (only the five pictured below, I know my limits even for a dream world) to my wardrobe and just hope they will get along with the rest. Loving the youthful looks, the slim silhouettes and the macro-floral-print dresses. Let the dreaming begin :

Of course, don’t forget to check for the beautiful looks that didn’t make it to my wardrobe, on Oteea Land’s Facebook Page. XO

ShoeMint – Say Hello To Janice

Right before the Holidays, ShoeMint decided to add a new pair of must-have shoes to their debut collection, as if our wish list wasn’t big enough already. It’s time to meet up with Janice, this lovely and versatile pair of ankle boots (ankle boots, yes !!!). You can choose to buy them in taupe suede or black suede, or add both pairs to your collection, if you’re lucky enough. The “Janice” are almost sold out, no wonder there, so you’d better hurry if you want to grab yours before they’re gone.

One little thing I might add, I just love how I can see Rachel Bilson, in each and every pair of these shoes, how she managed to deliver something so close to her style, that style we all find so inspiring.

I Might Be Cookie Wasted But…You Da One

I hope you wonderful people had am amazing Christmas this year ! I know I did, and even though I’m cookie wasted right now and the thought of something sugary makes me sick, I had the best time ! I’m sure I’ll get back to my passion for sweets in matter of hours. I enjoyed so much spending time with family ( I just missed mine a lot  more than usual these past days) and eating way to much food for just 48 hours, but hey, who am I to refuse something delicious looking, served on a plate, right in front of me ? That did happened to all of us, right ?

I have missed the blog, the fashion news, the celebrities, that’s why today I came back with a song ! You might have heard it by now and I’m sure not going to start bragging about how much I admire Rihanna, did I say admire ? , well, how much I love Rihanna, but one thing’s for sure: this is a happy song, perfect for this sunny winter day!

And in case you were wondering what does this video have to do with fashion, well it has everything to do with it, because Rihanna is a trendsetter, way ahead of her time, daring, unique and always inspiring. She’s committed to her style and that’s for sure the coolest thing !

My favorite look of the video, ought to be this somewhat boyish outfit, with the printed tights and short jeans, oh and the cute little white hat of course. Enjoy the video :

It’s That Time Of The Year …

I cannot let a day pass by without writing on my Blog, it feels like “betrayal” If I don’t find a little time to spare for my dear friends. Today I decided to hit the pause button on the Fashion World, just for Christmas, as I want to make the best of these magic moments, I want to enjoy time spent with friends and family, I want to eat a lot of cookies, watch good movies and wait for Santa.

Santa Baby

I hope you have a lovely day today, getting everything ready for Christmas Dinner ! Don’t forget to leave Santa his milk and cookies somewhere near the Christmas Tree ! XO

Thakoon – Pre-Fall 2012 Collection

I still can’t figure out why exactly I was so drawn to the Thakoon Pre-Fall 2012 collection, but my guess would have to be a mix between the nudes and the pastels (I adore them), the classic knits (perfect for fall, I’m happy they stick for 2012) and the fluffy pockets of course (nice detailing). Must be one or all of these reasons.

With that being said, let’s take a closer look to some of my favorite pieces of this collection, I must admit I would wear them in a glance. Also don’t forget to check out Oteea Land’s Facebook page if you want to see the entire collection.

Jessica Alba – Silk Dress Inspired Look

December is not much of a Red Carpet event month as celebrities enjoy well worthy vacations and some free time prior to 2012 madness. It is however a great month to spot and get inspired by what do celebrities love to wear while running errands, having launches and dinners, taking walks, shopping or whatever else it is that we are all doing with our time.

A look that caught my attention these days was worn by Jessica Alba, whilst she was having launch with her family on December 18. I loved the clean and chic look, the white silk dress and how both the feminine and the masculine vibes worked on this outfit.

Jessica wore a One dress ($318.00) but I chose something a little more colorful and affordable to go with the rest of the black look:

I used : Topshop – Boyfriend Blazer ($130.00) ; Topshop – Black 120 Denier Opaque Tights ($16.00) ; ASOS – MARKY Patent Leather Traditional Brogues ($58.18) ; ASOS– Shirt Dress in Colour Block (now $40.91) ; ASOS – Leather Brogue Detail Across Body Bag ($72.72) .

I think it makes a really cute look and it’s pretty easy to put together, hope you liked it.
