Sarah Jessica Parker attended last night’s 8th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball, held at Cipriani 42nd Street, in New York. Just by looking at the outfit, you could have easily guest it is Sarah the one who’s wearing it. I’m loving this about her unique sense of style.
The essence of the entire Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 collection is captured in this silhouette Sarah chose to wear: peekaboo cutouts, tweeds and ostrich feathers, pastel hues, 60’s inspired style. What I also love about this shimmery bodice + skirt is the fact that it somehow manages to mix a hint of winter, with a little bit of spring. Paired with white pumps and a bouffant half-up, half-down hairstyle, the look was perfectly completed.
Dreamy or not ?
Amber Le Bon also made an appearance at the 2011 British Fashion Awards, held last night in London of course. The model wore a dress from Peter Pilotto’s Resort 2012 collection.
The tranquil blue, tribal printed, structured dress looked amazing and of course it is the perfect dress to make a statement at an event like this one.
The gold glitter clutch and a pair of nude pumps complemented the look.
Inspired or Not ?
Attending the 2011 British Fashion Awards to present the award for Emerging Talent – Ready-To-Wear, Olivia Palermo looked stunning as always, wearing a Matthew Williamson Fall 2011 dress.
Belonging to a collection inspired the by Russian avant-garde painter Francisco Infante-Arana, the wool-crepe dress with feather appliqués was successfully teamed with a pair of Topshop ankle boots, because no one beats Olivia at blending together the high-end with the high-street.
A vintage Charlotte Olympia bag, Asprey jewelry and a low bun completed her look.
Hot Or Not?
On the same Blue Carpet, at the same 2011 British Fashion Awards that took place in London last night, I saw my sweet darling Kate Hudson (<3). She might not have been a “blowing away” appearance, but I felt for this endearing, minimal yet so elegant look, created by her longtime friend designer Stella McCartney.
Kate chose simplicity all the way by merely accessorizing this one shoulder, floor-length gown, letting the side detailing of the gown be the center of attention. I still would have loved to see a pair of beautiful earrings together with this dress.
How inspired was Kate to chose Stella McCartney ?
Last night, was also a big night in the UK, as the 2011 British Fashion Awards took place at The Savoy Hotel, in London. Walking the Blue Carpet at this event, looking fresh and sparkly, was the always cute model, turned TV presenter, Alexa Chung.
Her Christopher Kane ’60s style dress, with a structured shape and crystal embellished top, was featured in the designer’s Spring 2012 Collection. She chose to accessorize this youthful dress, with a non-conventional pair of Charlotte Olympia Kitty heels. As for the hair, Alexa opted for a little diversion on her trademark long bob hairstyle, with a longer fringe and a bushier crown.
Were you impressed by this look ?
First off I’ll begin by saying that I love a good busy day on the Red Carpet, that’s mainly why all of today’s posts will focus on last night’s fashionable events.
The first look I liked was spotted on Charlize Theron at the 2011 Gotham Independent Film Awards held at Cipriani, Wall Street. The “Young Adult” actress looked daring in a black and white dress with gold metallic accents.
The “early twentieth century era” inspired dress with an extreme plunging neckline and flapper-esque feel, looked much better on Charlize than on the actual runway model.
A pair of towering gold sandals, layered gold necklaces and an Alexander McQueen skull clutch completed the look together with the hint of color given by the fuchsia lips .

Only yesterday I was talking about the black leather leggings and how indispensable they seem to be this season. Today I’ll commit to leather once again by posting on what seems to be a not so new fashion crush : the beautiful leather skirt.
Worn by celebrities and seen on every city’s fashionable street, this skirt seems to have made it pretty far. Available in multiple colors, with different cuts and styles, made by so many brands, I’m sure there’s a leather skirt for every girl.
I’ll start off with my usual designer picks and honestly I love each and every one of these pieces :
A leather skirt could never go wrong – as seen on the streets :
Celeb Style – What better way to get inspired ? with Olivia Palermo, Maria Menounos, Fergie :
